First rule of fandom is: Don't be creepy.
Second rule of fandom is: No, really, stop being creepy.
And then I think we should be allowed to take out the creepy with a tranq gun. Might just be me.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

No, not really.
I'm pretty spoiled, but I know better than to spoil here.
Totally agree, Cass. Totally agree.
So do I. But when something has been linked here, and it has kind of (unintentionally) hinted that it is a mild spoiler, I don't think it spoiling to point out that many would not find it a mild spoiler, and not to follow the link if you are avoiding spoilers.
I *totally* appreciate it. Swear. Saying there are spoilers in a link is totally thumbs up behavior for my point of view.
There have been reactions (mostly on lj) where the reactions can make it pretty damn obvious what the spoilers concern. That's where I have the "Ooh noes, my speshul snowflek eyes cannot unsee this!" reaction.
Yeah, I cant go over to lj unless I accept the risk, and that risk is great, of being spoiled. I know that going in.
Grrrr. ComicCon links are tempting meeeeee.
I hate knowing stuff ahead of time because it just makes me fret about it before I see how it plays out. One reason I'm (so far) unspoiled.
But the shiny--it beckons! Wah!
Sort of OT, but an interesting comment from Russell T. Davies, producer of Torchwood. There be spoilers for Torchwood in the quotes below:
Reporter's Question: But it's a risky thing to kill off such a popular character.
DAVIES: Absolutely. There's a risk that some people won't come back to watch now that Ianto's gone. I thank them for watching the show and I recommend they go watch Supernatural, because those boys are beautiful.
Really? I admit to being quite shallow, but that's not entirely why I watch.
The rest of that quote could be quite offensive to some people.
I mean, I'm happy that a showrunner on another network has watched and appreciates--in whatever manner he does--SPN. But it feels like a backhanded slap, what with the flattery and then the implication that the pretty was the only reason to watch. Plus the potentially offensive thing--no wait. It isn't potentially offensive, it's concretely offensive to a certain segment of fans, who RTD dismisses by the comment.
Not especially well done, RTD.
