But that's Dean's thing--especially when he's mad at Cas. It makes no sense and all the sense. Cas did what Dean has done. Stop whining at him.
And you'll see more.
I liked Henry. It made me feel awful for John (and by extension, Dean).
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

In my head I've cast the Enoch kid from How To Get Away With Murder as my black Sam (my sis counters with Nate Turner for Dean, must research). The scene in his show where they torch the body set off all sorts of perfect. I know he's not freaky tall, but seeing him next to little ladies is great too.
Oh, I knew that scene reminded me of something.
He's my woobie. Although he seems quite capable these days. Interesting finale--they're out until late Jan. What's the schedule look like for us?
That episode was underwhelming, too. Rowena is such a caricature, although the ending made me laugh. That should be some fun.
DEAN. You're giving Sam agita. He saved you! You're saved! Sort of. Also, so bored with the angels, although the Jimmy Novak thing might be sort of interesting (and/or heartbreaking).
I read this long piece on Tumblr yesterday about the way the show has changed since S5, and I agreed with every bit of it, which surprised me. Especially the part about how it's not a horror anymore, but urban fantasy a la Once Upon a Time and Grimm, which really struck me as true. And sad.
I think sometimes it bursts through with something horrific--worse than the first season, at least. But I don't think urban fantasy is any worse or better than horror.
I liked things about the episode, without liking the whole. Honestly, I'd forgotten about Cole--I liked the fight scene. The resolution I'm kinda of undecided about. Clearly Dean couldn't have purposefully killed him, but a regretful accidental kill and doubting Sam is an interesting proposition.
I liked that they explained witches/magic properly...properlier. I argue with too many people who think the boys (and Bobby) are hypocrites for using magic and hunting witches, but the truth is--they barely ever finish a witch hunt. That vacillation irritates me.
I called Rowena as Crowley's mother when I fully processed her accent. I enjoyed her, but the A plot was unengaging. It felt short and unimportant and woefully unrelated to the boys.
I kinda panicked when Cas looked up Jimmy (DON'T GIVE BACK THE BODY, HE IS DEAD DEAD DEAD). I would like some exposition to that end, because I can't help think how horrible it would be for him to have survived all this, and as Hannah showed--he'd know.
I'll miss Hannah. I worked out I liked her a little on the late side, but I think her pairing with Cas was sweet/cool.
Coincidentally or not, I've recently been annoyed by women in action roles wearing heels. Hannah must be huge! She's almost Cas's height and was wearing heels < .5".
I was wondering if they were setting up Cole as the new spin-off idea.
But I don't think urban fantasy is any worse or better than horror.
Not any better or worse, but you could say the same thing of apples and oranges. If I ask for apples, don't start giving me oranges halfway through the meal and expect me not to notice, or prefer the apples I asked for.
But the show has never successfully been apples. How many episodes of the first two or so seasons were good horror--AHS might be a hot mess, but it's pretty much all horror all the time, pretty much (I am way behind this season, FWIW).
Supernatural might have billed itself as horror, but 10 seasons in (or 5) I'm looking for emotional trauma and weird endorphin highs, because that's been consistent for the past X years.
Oh, and laughing. Show, why weren't you funny this time? Dean IMing with a sex worker was one muffled chuckle. And then pathetic. And then business as usual.
Even the acronym monster djinn AU had laughs, and that's one of the saddest non-Joss things I'd seen at the time.
Perhaps I should have paid more attention to LHOP.
Amy, did you get mail from me? I changed the passwords on my tablet and I don't know if it's sending...
Oh, and I think Cole has potential. Not to be black or female, but I wouldn't mind if he stayed around. Unlike Tracy Bell who was a 2nd rate wet dream with not enough issues and resentment.
Yeah, that's why I tune in...
If you mean email, no, ita. Not recently, anyway!
Even if it wasn't successfully horror all of the first five seasons, I liked it better when they were battling nasty demons or creatures they'd never seen before, like Bloody Mary and the tulpa and djinn, instead of having demons in business suits and running bars and Heaven Incorporated. (I know that goes back to S4, and I think that's where they started going off track. Angels as Castiel appeared in his first few episodes were scary and unknowable.)
