Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I keep reading Deanmon as "Dean, man..." in a bad Jamaican accent.

All the black guys I can think of are too old for the roles of both Dean and Sam, unfortunately. I hit a block. But I think Aldis would make a great Dean too! There's so much of Misha that's shaped Cas decisions that....as much as I'd love to see, say, Morris Chestnut in the role, I just can't.

Oh, wait--Aldis as Sam, and Michael Ealy as Dean? I could handle that. In fact, it even seems a bit literal a translation. Mary is Angela Basset, and John...probably needs to be lighter skinned and I'm blanking again.

Wait, when was soulless!Sam re-souled, what episode?

Appointment in Samarra, episode 11. Huh--I thought it was earlier than that. Please don't keep Dean a demon for half a season. As much as I ended up enjoying RoboSam for both comedy and angst, I do regret taking away that much DeanAndSam time from them.

Michael Jai White? He's only a couple years younger than Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

I don't think real ages are as important as apparent age difference, and I wouldn't cast him as Michael Ealy's dad, although I think JDM worked as JA's dad, despite reality.

I hate to be so "well-known Black actor" but I can see Denzel Washington playing John W.

I like the Aldis/Sam and Micheal Ealy/Dean, though...

And the "Dean Mom" and the Jamaican accent "Deanmon" totally cracked my shit up!

Michael Ealy is totally a high yellow Jensen Ackles. They both make me stare in bewilderment at their beauty the same way.

I would miss Sam towering over Dean, though. But way to go to restrict your casting pool.

Hey, Orlando Jones could play their father...I don't know how old he is, but for some reason I buy that more than Michael Jai White.

I can't think of a proper black recast for Cas, but I've had two white guys of similar type rattling around in my head forever--Matt Bomer and Ciliian Murphy. Murphy especially, distractingly, so.

Man, that sneek peak had more than I wanted to know, but I couldn't stop watching once I started (figuring that there would be no more TMI, d'oh). I don't think it's spoilery that the official line on re-appearing characters is "if there's a will there's a way" regardless of whether or not they're dead but I'll whitefont it just in case.

Hodge is 6'1', Ealy 5'10. 4 inch difference, so not so bad.

Jared's 6'4' and Jensen's 6'1', so only a 3 inch difference.

What about Nate Parker for Cas?

Sam has to tower over everyone, though! Aldis can manhandle Emmanuelel Vaugier (that was her, right?) all he wants, it won't be the same.

::looks up Nate Parker::

Too many pictures of him smiling! Cas is srs bzns! I can't tell.

But in "stealing from the left hand to pay the right", I think Rick Worthy would be *excellent* as Cas.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I loved the stunt casting until I remembered that Aldis('s character) killed Sam that one time. Messes me up. Michael Ealy is perfection, though.

Ciliian Murphy. Murphy especially, distractingly, so.

There's just something about him that I find kind of creepy, though.
