Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Oh, fruitcake fans...
If I was Misha, I would immediately disqualify those teams that behaved badly to decisively nip that shit in the bud. That's just not on.
Honestly, I don't think it's a relatively small number of people behaving badly so much as just how fucking many of us there are. I'm actually, once this thing is over, planning to write an open letter (and emailing it to the GISH-PTB) saying that I won't be participating next year unless they make it clear that they won't be including items that would obviously lead to overwhelming individual celebrities unless those people have specifically agreed to it. Or words that are more clear. Once this thing is done.
The DCBB minibang summaries went up. The summaries were to go up at 10:00 board time. Where are the rest of of them? At least I have no time constraints tomorrow for getting in my claim (same 10AM), but I'd be frustrated if I had a job.
But I have 5 I like so far, so although I'd love to do a longer story, I could be happy just so.
Started reading the BB summaries but had to stop because I was frustrated I couldn't read them right then and there.

Misha does the ALS ice bucket challenge! [link] (And challenges Jensen, which will not end well, I'm pretty sure. Or maybe it will! Who knows.)
I got the story I wanted. .. slightly RPF since Jane Austen is deciding whether or not to use D/C as story fodder. I think I mostly clicked on it for the costuming.
Some bangs have had "why you want to illustrate me" sections, and this should have. I found myself reading summaries of stories I would read, but I needed more information.
Story #50 was very popular:
There is a race that takes place every year in Alaska called the Iditarod, a thousand mile journey across the Alaskan wilderness by dogsled team that has come to be known as the “Last Great Race on Earth”. It is a test of endurance, of the relationship between dogs and their people, traversing mountain ranges, frozen rivers, forest and tundra. When writer Castiel Milton is forced to spend two and a half months in Alaska at Winchester Kennels to cover the race preparations and the Iditarod itself, the only person more dismayed than he is Dean Winchester, one of his hosts. Castiel views his assignment as a punishment and is less than impressed by his surly host, and Dean distrusts the sheltered city-born writer who has invaded their home and their lives. But soon, as the Winchesters prepare for their race and Castiel learns about sled dogs and and what a musher’s lifestyle is all about, they forget to hate each other and their relationship evolves into something neither of them expected.
I wonder if everyone knew who wrote it. About 5 people tried to claim it in the first 20.
Ha! I did not pick the Austen. I picked a fairly contemporary enemies to lovers one instead.
Can't decide if I should pick a medieval minibang too...
(And challenges Jensen, which will not end well, I'm pretty sure. Or maybe it will! Who knows.)
But I'll bet it will end entertainingly.
One can always hope, Vortex! I thought Jensen looked like he definitely enjoyed dumping the ice on Jared, anyway. ;-)
