It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got the story I wanted. .. slightly RPF since Jane Austen is deciding whether or not to use D/C as story fodder. I think I mostly clicked on it for the costuming.

Some bangs have had "why you want to illustrate me" sections, and this should have. I found myself reading summaries of stories I would read, but I needed more information.

Story #50 was very popular:

There is a race that takes place every year in Alaska called the Iditarod, a thousand mile journey across the Alaskan wilderness by dogsled team that has come to be known as the “Last Great Race on Earth”. It is a test of endurance, of the relationship between dogs and their people, traversing mountain ranges, frozen rivers, forest and tundra. When writer Castiel Milton is forced to spend two and a half months in Alaska at Winchester Kennels to cover the race preparations and the Iditarod itself, the only person more dismayed than he is Dean Winchester, one of his hosts. Castiel views his assignment as a punishment and is less than impressed by his surly host, and Dean distrusts the sheltered city-born writer who has invaded their home and their lives. But soon, as the Winchesters prepare for their race and Castiel learns about sled dogs and and what a musher’s lifestyle is all about, they forget to hate each other and their relationship evolves into something neither of them expected.

I wonder if everyone knew who wrote it. About 5 people tried to claim it in the first 20.

Ha! I did not pick the Austen. I picked a fairly contemporary enemies to lovers one instead.

Can't decide if I should pick a medieval minibang too...

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

(And challenges Jensen, which will not end well, I'm pretty sure. Or maybe it will! Who knows.)

But I'll bet it will end entertainingly.

Because books.

One can always hope, Vortex! I thought Jensen looked like he definitely enjoyed dumping the ice on Jared, anyway. ;-)

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Osric does the ALS ice bucket challenge, and uses what looks like a really heavy cooler of ice water.

That challenge is way weird. All Jensen has to do to get out of icewater in his pants is to donate money. I'm not sure if they thought it out entirely.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The challenge started as "ice water or donate," but it seems to have mostly morphed into "ice water and donate, or at least donate." It seems like most people who do the ice water part are also donating something.

I don't like that overlap with the DCBB!

Sam gets married in this fic, and in searching for tuxedos (I'm not going near Jared's wedding pics), I found this which is pretty much too perfect, considering, and has become the formal outfit for the wedding, even though it's not a proper tux.
