Unless Dean and Sam will be making a guest appearance, I won't be planning to watch the spinoff. By about 20 minutes in I was lost in all the new characters, and even worse I didn't care to remember who they all were anyway.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
What Morgana said.
So not interested.
There are really only two new leads, and one is a short black guy, so that should be less confusing for people than the original Supernatural.
The dynamic in SPN is the family bond, and the chemistry between Ackles/Padelecki is the heart of the show. If TV required a show about feuds for power of a city between various supernats, and the non-supers that try to keep the peace, there are about 2 dozen book series I can name that are more intriguing and exciting than what was shown.
It's Supernatural's "The Originals." Or something. But next to stuff like The 100, even, it looks pretty uninspired.
Plus, the mythology is completely wrong. Shapeshifters weren't able to do those things in the SPN universe, so why here? And where were these five families while Dick Roman was in power?
The feuding monster families reminds me of the feuding vampire families in The Kindred. But Kindred did it so much better. This effort (and I use the term reluctantly) is a waste of attractive people.
It's not for us, it's clear. They wanted a show with money and Relationships, so this looks like that. I wish them well, but will miss Dabb.
I was also mesmerized by the eye makeup on Margo. So much! The whole thing smelled like soap opera to me.
Every once in a while there was a flicker -- like when David said, "Shape. Shifter. It's sort of right there in the name," but that was it. It took itself so absurdly seriously.
What y'all said. ^^^^^

Oooh, I watched that spinoff. Getting pretty bored, but I totally watched that one.
