I'm just waiting to see if I pass out. Long story.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Weird choice. There are soooo many eps that were better.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Agreed, Perkins. Several come to mind almost immediately.

  • What Is and What Should Never Be (fairly sure I got the exact title wrong)
  • In my Time of Dying
  • In the Beginning
  • Lazarus Rising

At least they didn't list "Bugs."

Because books.

It seems like they're focusing on the fact that a writer actually sent someone to HELL. Which, yeah.

But it wouldn't have been my choice, either.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Am I just actor-fangirling if I list When the Levee Breaks as a really good ep--in the same vein as What is and What Should Never Be? Not the vein that's thematic of the show's mythos, but in the vein of why doesn't this guy have an Emmy?

Because books.

Rewatching the last two eps this afternoon. And wondering ... why *did* Sam hallucinate?

I just can't figure out if the writers figured out the rules of the demon blood. Was it strictly a placebo, as *I* think Ruby implied? If so, did he then have ... a psychosomatic nasty detox?

And if the demon blood *did* give him a little more juice (maybe just extra energy/strength as opposed to actual additional powers?), then was Ruby wrong about him not needing the feather?

Great scenes, though, either way. Jonesing crazy!Sam is sort of disturbingly hot.

DUH, I forgot the seizures. So clearly the blood was doing something. God, how do you guys allow me to post when I can be such a ditz?

I just can't figure out if the writers figured out the rules of the demon blood.

I have a nasty feeling they haven't figured it out (just as they may not have figured out the rules regarding who or what can kill an angel). That said, it could be that the blood was addictive without actually boosting his powers.

Maybe Ruby was right in that it didn't affect his powers, but maybe it did something to him that made him more willing to access them by lowering his inhibitions, etc. Plus, having him dependent on her in that way just made it that much easier for her to control him.
