Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Am I just actor-fangirling if I list When the Levee Breaks as a really good ep--in the same vein as What is and What Should Never Be? Not the vein that's thematic of the show's mythos, but in the vein of why doesn't this guy have an Emmy?

Because books.

Rewatching the last two eps this afternoon. And wondering ... why *did* Sam hallucinate?

I just can't figure out if the writers figured out the rules of the demon blood. Was it strictly a placebo, as *I* think Ruby implied? If so, did he then have ... a psychosomatic nasty detox?

And if the demon blood *did* give him a little more juice (maybe just extra energy/strength as opposed to actual additional powers?), then was Ruby wrong about him not needing the feather?

Great scenes, though, either way. Jonesing crazy!Sam is sort of disturbingly hot.

DUH, I forgot the seizures. So clearly the blood was doing something. God, how do you guys allow me to post when I can be such a ditz?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I just can't figure out if the writers figured out the rules of the demon blood.

I have a nasty feeling they haven't figured it out (just as they may not have figured out the rules regarding who or what can kill an angel). That said, it could be that the blood was addictive without actually boosting his powers.

Maybe Ruby was right in that it didn't affect his powers, but maybe it did something to him that made him more willing to access them by lowering his inhibitions, etc. Plus, having him dependent on her in that way just made it that much easier for her to control him.

That was my interpretation of what Ruby said. I could be wrong. Guess we'll find out next season?

I imagine that going through severe withdrawal pangs would make dealing with guilt over releasing Lucifer into the world just that much more difficult. It would be a horrible (but fascinating) reversal for a detoxing Sam to feel that he's too weak to help Dean, that he's holding Dean back, etc.

Yeah, I can see poor Sam being something of a basket case at the beginning of next season (assuming Lucifer doesn't take over).

Has this been posted yet?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Ngah.

...OMG. It just crossed my mind to wonder whether anyone had to help him with the, ah, acquisition of perky nipples. Or whether it was just cold in the room. Um.

dies

Rumor from the recent UK Asylum con has it that he dislikes the photo, as it wasn't posed. Aww, he wanted to flex for the camera.

I tell you what, we'd better hoard all the shirtless Jensen we can find, because that man refuses to show skin unless he has to. A wifebeater? Sure. Pull up his t-shirt and show off the lack of hellhound scars? Okay. But no shirtless scenes *at all* since Route 666. Oh wait--the Titanic Impala scene with Anna. Largely obscured. In the dark. It's a shame, is what it is.
