You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Sam did see Death (you mean other than in this episode, right?) In that episode where they had the couple chained up when Dean summoned Death and offered him the fried pickles. And then Death told him that if Dean summoned him again he'd eradicate him completely.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had that pointed out to me.

His response to Sam, treating him as more important than a paramecium seemed disproportionate, which was why I thought it might have been whole cloth.

Who's on the fair ship Sazekiel! All aboard! Toot! Toot! I'll draw pictures, and there will be self sex!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Vortex, they filmed 9.02 first because of Sheppard's and Chau's schedule conflicts. The ep that aired was filmed second, but is actually chronologically the first ep of S.9

It was SUPERNATURAL’s best adults 18-49 rating for any episode since 2010 (10/15/10).

Versus last season’s premiere, SUPERNATURAL was up 37% in total viewers, up 25% in adults 18-34, up 33% in women 18-34 (1.2/4), and up 50% in adults 18-49.

It's pretty impressive (okay, uncomfortable) to watch someone with a large tumblr platform based on reblogging is complaining that all the angels are white cis men.

There should be a rule relating number of followers and the amount of time you have to ruminate (and maybe research!) before you hit Publish.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Tahmoh Penikett is white? The actress who played the angel going all Misery on Castiel is really a man?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I guess Dean being gay is canon now, since Anna was a dude.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I think that applying "cis" to any of the angels is unfair, considering it's not their natural form, and most possibly has no bearing on their preference, if there even is one. They are nongendered beings with only two showing any sexual interest, maybe (I may be reading fanon into Balthazar). And who's to say that Gabriel doesn't feel like a woman who likes women, but is in a man's body during the show? Maybe Cas, despite his vessel, associates better with a woman's body, and is hot for Dean? Maybe Hester associated better with a man's body and got stuck with a fierce schoolmarm instead?

No, it's not something the show is exploring, but neither do I see it explicitly excluding those possibilities either. After all, Raphael took a second vessel with a different sex from the first, and Castiel would have been just as happy with Claire as with Jimmy. It's about the bloodline available, not the sex of the body.
