Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Because books.

Oh boy, Sam is going to be PISSED. And Dean! Honey, you are so selfish. Do you never learn?!

And yet I wouldn't have it any other way.

Cas without the trench coat is going to take some getting used to. Also, am I right in thinking Cas can hear other angels but he can't hear human prayers?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I guess it's not Supernatural without intermittent urges to impale myself?

That hurt about as much as it was supposed to. Good job.

Also Tahmoh dwarfish next to Jared.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I think the Bobby usage was unnecessary.

Oh, I liked that! I thought it was very Sam to assign familiar faces to the different urges in his head.

I couldn't get a good sense of how big Tahmoh was in terms of Jared, I guess because Jared was lying down.

When Dean turns into Ezekiel right before the possession he looks halfway between Dean and Sam.

I think the Bobby was a good derail of what people were expecting from Jim Beaver and also the idea that Dean was that part of Sam was *so* perfect that the more complacent side of Sam did need a face too. Even though Sam!Dean was very true to life, I can't say Bobby was, but I can totally see him being that for Sam, which was most important.

I wonder if that was really Death or not. Could very...wait...Sam never saw Death, did he? I guess that was really him then. Must edit IO9 mini-recap.

Sam did see Death (you mean other than in this episode, right?) In that episode where they had the couple chained up when Dean summoned Death and offered him the fried pickles. And then Death told him that if Dean summoned him again he'd eradicate him completely.

Jared and Jensen are live tweeting the premiere! So adorable.

I had that pointed out to me.

His response to Sam, treating him as more important than a paramecium seemed disproportionate, which was why I thought it might have been whole cloth.

Who's on the fair ship Sazekiel! All aboard! Toot! Toot! I'll draw pictures, and there will be self sex!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Vortex, they filmed 9.02 first because of Sheppard's and Chau's schedule conflicts. The ep that aired was filmed second, but is actually chronologically the first ep of S.9
