I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, so much worse.

"Who's driving?" -- character eyeroll is quickly transitioned to have the car in the foreground and the characters...somewhere else, and then the ...not the chase, just the really fast drive, basically, with lots of focus on gear shifting and pedal manipulating, but in a loving, isn't this shiny new Hyundai Genisis (here's the logo again!) way of framing every shot. It did need a "closed course trained professional" disclaimer.

Also, that show needs to stop so obviously Vaselining their women. Does Alona Tal need it, or is it that now that they've started with Fi they have to with the other chicks or it looks weird (hint--it looks weird--we can tell when you cut to THE MEN)?

And, damn, I know the actress playing Fi is tiny in all dimensions except for hair, but she makes Alona look both tall and wide. It's amazing what you forget when she's the only woman under fifty (does their fandom complain like our fandom does? I guess not--she's a fulltimer, but she's kinda awful, and she's the only sexually active woman allowed to stay on the show for any length of time...)

Right. Thread not called Burn Notice.

But now I'm envisioning Burn Ceiling. "My name is John Winchester. I used to be a husband...When your wife burns, you've got nothing. No cash, only credit scams, no job history. You can't stay anywhere unless they find you.
Dean: Where am I?
John: A motel.

etc...."

I can't believe this was all new to me, but...

I was doing Cassie research, for reasons, and stumbled upon a Cassie hate thread. Now, it's not rocket science how much I don't love the ep, but I actually have never thought the words "jungle fever" in conjunction with Dean or the show or anything, and now that I've watched the clip [link] the thread was referring to, I feel generally mottsy (as did Jared, apparently, since he rescued Jensen from the weird silence).

But, seriously? Don't rage on Cassie's frizziness. That's just...don't. I feel really dirty now, and not in the way naked Dean usually makes me feel. Good lord, humans. Why???

When I see it, it will have happened.

Who's the artist?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You really nailed the cadence for Burn Ceiling. Nice.

Eta: I can easily imagine the voiceovers with John sharing tidbits from his journals while we watch Dean build EMF detectors and so forth

That would be perfect!

Heh, thanks.

IO9 had a "Worst ships ever" thread, that was mostly about ships that had happened, but someone posted Destiel, and...lord! Her point was "Never gonna happen. See, this is a show about brothers." You know that thing I have about "Your conclusion and your premise are unrelated."? ALL OVER THIS.

For her statement to hang together, there would have had to have been zero relationships in the show to date, no? Clearly false, ergo, why even?

She says it was stated explicitly at Vancon that it wouldn't happen, because the core of the show was about the Winchester relationship.

Oh, and also she finds it forced and distracting.

I'm waiting for her to tell me how something that doesn't exist (which I agree wholeheartedly with--they have an interesting platonic relationship, no matter if I think they're playing a weird game with Dean's queer potential) is forced by who? Fans? More than any other fake ship on any other show ever? Isn't that what non-canon ships pretty much are?

OH.

What she meant to say was that she hates Destiel shippers more than any other shippers in the world because of the extreme annoyingness, but clearly not me, she doesn't hate me, one of her best friends is a Destiel shipper.

One of us is acting like we're new to fandom, and sadly it's probably me.

Because books.

Actual teaser! ::flails::

Apparently it's longer, about five minutes, but this is the Cas part. I have no idea where she got this, or what she means about spending $50, unless it's on the new DVDs?

Also, FLAIL.

They arrive tomorrow, I heard, if you pre-ordered Amazon, so maybe some people have them today?

Okay, there are visuals assistance for many things there, including a character back I wasn't thinking about. Yay!
