I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Burn Notice was *so* "look at all the things you can do with a Hyundai!" that I couldn't help but envision anyone, even Chevrolet, approaching SPN saying "Your fans are pretty enthusiastic about cars--can we have an in-show endorsement deal?"

Can you imagine the horror?

Nice loving shots of bright and shiny *new* cars with GPS and OnSat or whatever and all those not-subtle changes to the script...LOVE.

Have not watched BN lately. Is the main character now pretty unambigously the bad guy? If so, do the writers know it?

That's the conflict right now. The fact that I've thought so for a while means it's not actually a conflict for me. But the characters sure seem surprised.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Was it Alias jump in the Ford F150 and go after that Ford Mustang levels of obvious?

I want to see Toyota do product placement. For the Prius. "Did you know you could fit two dead bodies in the back of a Prius V and still have room for the weapons cache? Awesome!"

Oh, so much worse.

"Who's driving?" -- character eyeroll is quickly transitioned to have the car in the foreground and the characters...somewhere else, and then the ...not the chase, just the really fast drive, basically, with lots of focus on gear shifting and pedal manipulating, but in a loving, isn't this shiny new Hyundai Genisis (here's the logo again!) way of framing every shot. It did need a "closed course trained professional" disclaimer.

Also, that show needs to stop so obviously Vaselining their women. Does Alona Tal need it, or is it that now that they've started with Fi they have to with the other chicks or it looks weird (hint--it looks weird--we can tell when you cut to THE MEN)?

And, damn, I know the actress playing Fi is tiny in all dimensions except for hair, but she makes Alona look both tall and wide. It's amazing what you forget when she's the only woman under fifty (does their fandom complain like our fandom does? I guess not--she's a fulltimer, but she's kinda awful, and she's the only sexually active woman allowed to stay on the show for any length of time...)

Right. Thread not called Burn Notice.

But now I'm envisioning Burn Ceiling. "My name is John Winchester. I used to be a husband...When your wife burns, you've got nothing. No cash, only credit scams, no job history. You can't stay anywhere unless they find you.
Dean: Where am I?
John: A motel.

etc...."

I can't believe this was all new to me, but...

I was doing Cassie research, for reasons, and stumbled upon a Cassie hate thread. Now, it's not rocket science how much I don't love the ep, but I actually have never thought the words "jungle fever" in conjunction with Dean or the show or anything, and now that I've watched the clip [link] the thread was referring to, I feel generally mottsy (as did Jared, apparently, since he rescued Jensen from the weird silence).

But, seriously? Don't rage on Cassie's frizziness. That's just...don't. I feel really dirty now, and not in the way naked Dean usually makes me feel. Good lord, humans. Why???

When I see it, it will have happened.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You really nailed the cadence for Burn Ceiling. Nice.

Eta: I can easily imagine the voiceovers with John sharing tidbits from his journals while we watch Dean build EMF detectors and so forth
