Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Because books.

Do you mean do Wincesters do BINGO? I imagine they do, but I don't usually pay attention.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You'd have to tell me what would be on the Wincest bingo cards, is what I meant. Just the first D/C one cracked me up.

I don't think I've ever seen one, but I bet I could approximate some squares. And it would probably also have "only gay for each other," come to think of it, as well as a few others.

I'm so disappointed--there aren't many writers that I subscribe to on AO3, but lastknownwriter's D/C was consistently good, so why not? And eight chapters into her Beauty and the Beast AU, still pretty good.

A thesaurus vomited on the hookup chapter. The only word I remember clearly is "seismic" and...she just went totally off the rails. If I'd had my expectations set to "sucks and blows" like this "Cas is the perfect ticklish boyfriend that lets Dean keep him in the closet because he has no ego" story I'm hopping from sex scene to sex scene in, fine--florid would make a great difference from the over-explication of mundane irrelevancy.

The chick who made the bingo card now thinks that she inspired Cas Tastes Like. I don't even know if the dates work. But what can I say to her?

You can say she didn't, since you created that tumbler over a year ago.

I had the weirdest idea for a fic today, based on something Misha said about Cas's character in S9.

To wit: Cas knocks up a human chick and brings her home to Dean and Sam in the bunker. Meanwhile, Charlie has moved in because of reasons, and Kevin has never left. Sort of Animal House meets the Brady Bunch or something.

Awwww, it would be a sweet rebuilding of a found family. Since their previous natural family and found families are all dead.

I know--her post is 6 months old. But she's all squee and following the tumblr, which brings followers up to 16 (and I bet at least two of those are me), so I'm gonna be that person and not say shit.

Morgana, you just made that really sad!

Yeah, I was thinking more comedic, like Dean groaning at Cas about using condoms, and Kevin trying to figure out all of Charlie's old aliases, and Cas's pregnant girlfriend dragging Cas down the dungeon, and ... stuff.

But it also would be sad. It already is. The episode where Bobby died was on today, and it killed me how explicit they made his "adoption" of Sam and Dean, and their love for him.

Is there a meeting you can join that tells you it's okay to close the browser window? It's an accelerating train rushing towards a wall of crap writing, and...I keep clicking "Next Chapter ->" like there's nothing better to do with my time.

Or maybe there could be a meeting for her, which explains the potential downsides of switching points of view in the middle of a paragraph. Or saying things like:

Sam's tone was of the 'difficult' nature.

Someone needs a come to Chuck meeting.

Verb tenses. I was recently reading a Big Bang that kept switching tenses in the middle of paragraphs, and it was driving me absolutely crazy. Pick one -- present or past -- and stick with it, dammit.
