"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm assuming the apron strings allude to her, but I wouldn't line her up with the other stressors myself either. It's a different impact, and I think putting the Winchesters side by side with demon and Leviathan is telling in a different way from apron strings.

Exactly, Mrs. Tran will already be represented symbolically in the foreground with Kevin. She's a part of his life in an up-close and personal way, not a more remote influence based on allied or antagonistic principle rather than personal relationship.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am off balance because my headache just kicked into fourth gear, and I'm going to assume that's why this [link] garnered a (sniffly) emotional response.

I think I need to find the picture of Misha "playing" guitar and spam my tumblr with it.

Fucking shit. Either fancier editing than I can pick apart, or he's legit got another thing on his CV: [link] West sure likes it.

(I tuned out before the GISHWES stuff)

I need some help. I'm looking for pictures of the boys (separate) that would make good badass silhouettes. Either via obvious weapon, or their stance. But just by silhouette..I tried this [link] for example, and you really can't tell what's going on with the gun, so no win.

If I can't find those shots, it's possible I could have the Winchester silhouetted and the weapon in a flat block of another colour. But that's more technically complex than I've tried before, so, not unless I can't do it any other way.

Anything come to mind?

This [link] and this [link] are what I mean, but full length. I'm looking to superimpose (or maybe sub, dunno) them with a happy all-our-parents-are-alive tableau.

Because books.

I think if you could find a profile picture of Dean with the sniper rifle, it might work. I don't know that there is a full-length one, though.

Sam looks great! I think his torso might need to be longer? Or maybe his arms? Something.

I drew Sam from memory, just to test it out. That was a pose from a Batman piece of fanart.

Dean in profile won't work, because then he'll be aiming at Mary or John. I need some way for those messages not to get crossed.

This is me playing with the concepts and assembling in Photoshop: [link] So you see how they have to be forward and not across?

Because books.

Oh, I get it. Maybe just have the pearl-handled pistol (revolver? why do I not know that?) in one hand the way Sam has the knife in his?

Yeah, I'll keep an eye out for those. Because it's just silhouette I'd rather copy an existing image, for the familiar trigger, and to keep me honest on the bowlegs and the sexy narrow hips.

(Their Super picture was so cute, and did you spend some extra time looking at Jensen's thighs?)

(oh, wait--I thought I'd posted the link here--for anyone that's not seen it, apparently it was an official CW tweet: [link]

Has anyone actually seen the FBI grooming regs? So far I can't find anything that says Sam's haircut wouldn't fly.

(Pacific Rim could make a brilliant D/C story, except I'd never make it past the tags. Actually, it was a bit distracting--the Becket relationship might be a waste of Winchesters, although deeply evocative, I'd also love to see Hansen play out Winchester style.
