Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Because books.

Actually, my question is more "why fake Greyhound?" Is it harder to track an angel or tablet if you don't fly?

I'm sure it's not a big deal if you're not a Buffy fan, but that scene was very Buffy running away at the end of S2, bus and all.

I'm really surprised how much I don't want Meg to be dead.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She had a good long run, though. She's the last non-Winchester original...was.

So, how many times has Dean pulled the "No, just hit me until you overcome the mind control" trick? And, really, does he not want to work on a plan that hurts less? He's snapped his father, Bobby, famously Sammy, and now Cas out of mental domination that was pretty much thought to be a lockdown.

There's something very wrong with having that as your go-to plan, sweetie.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

At least Cas can eliminate the injuries once he snaps out of it, so the plan is improving incrementally.

I'm sure that the Crowley/Sam will be interesting. And did Crowley hint that he and Naomi had a thing?

I don't like that familiarity between them. I like my angelic antagonists to be righteous zealots who are ruthless in implementing their take on the divine plan, not backroom double-dealers who are cozy with the other side.

My problem with Mesopotamia is that Fergus McLeod was a 17th century tailor with a small dick. ISTG, too many of the things that make me itch tie into the Mark Sheppard legend. And I am not invested in/touched by that at all.

Because books.

Could he have been a demon prior to that, and only took Fergus as a vessel?

I don't know. I try not to think too hard about Crowley anymore. They've made him boring, if you ask me -- he knows everyone, he can do everything, he's smarmily charming, yadda yadda.

No, because we're told the deal he made to lose his soul was to make his dick bigger--that was Fergus' deal, and Crowley's history.

And, yeah, way over Crowley. I was excited at the beginning of the season where it looked like he was going to be properly evil and not just make people queue (like, what is hell for the Brits, then?), but they're not writing a character, they're giving Mark Sheppard screentime. If they're just gonna do that, I'd rather have Rachel, thanks.

I'm good with her death in the sense that it's sad and I preferred her alive, but that is this show.

However, my tumblr dash includes suicide threats and people saying they feel slapped in the face, and oh no, Destiel might not be canon this season after all.

First off: NO DUH, but secondly...why this ep? The one where Cas loved Dean enough to overcome the angelic onditioning of a thousand kills, where Dean said he needed Cas...this is the one that breaks your heart? Because Cas enjoyed kissing Meg? Because Meg wants to do it again and he didn't look all blushy and run to Dean?

I suspect you were not watching Supernatural this whole time. Sorry about the rude awakening, but it's much more about you than it is Show.

The D/C I like to watch was en fuego last night. I'm cool.

You know what (else) grabbed my heart? The smile Dean gave after asking for five minutes of wank time. It was so fond and sweet. Though that might also be Destiel-killing, since I've seen it tagged with Wincest this morning. ::sigh::

Because books.

I love that the writers actually had Dean say "Megstiel," too. But I also think it's sort of funny when they're taunty.

Oh yes. Some love is actually bigger than kissing and holding hands.

Though that might also be Destiel-killing, since I've seen it tagged with Wincest this morning.

::rolls eyes forever::

Someone on IO9 just posted a "he said family! you must be sad..." to me, and ::sigh::. I guess I can't blame them because so many people are freaking out for stupid reasons, but when did *I* look like an idiot? I do not need tarring with that brush, thanks.

SUICIDE THREAT, people. Really? "Look at your life, look at your choices" is on repeat in the back of my head this morning. Someone malicious cherry-picked Meg hate and freaking out, and I can quite easily hate all of fandom this morning.

And, seriously, I'd rather spend my time thinking of how Dean flinched/begged when Cas reached for him to heal him, and how gently Cas stroked his cheek instead of doing the two-finger forehead tap. Dean, Dean, Dean. You silly silly puppy. Yes, Cas did clean things up. But I think it's fair to say that Dean did not go in with that endgame. He's just way more suicidal than the next guy. Any next guy. And he hates people to die/suffer alone/instead of him.

Because books.

He's just way more suicidal than the next guy.

I don't know if he's actively suicidal anymore. But he still perceives he's worthless, in the sense that if someone has to die, it might as well be him.

SUICIDE THREAT, people. Really?

Wait, what? People are threatening to commit suicide because Cas liked lippy with Meg? Seriously?

"he said family! you must be sad..."

Um, that doesn't stop the Wincest shippers ...

You mean since when he was going to go down closing hell? That was just the other day, relatively speaking, and he made no attempt to escape or banish or anything to Cas--he's not working very hard to eliminate that options, shall we say?

People are threatening to commit suicide because Cas liked lippy with Meg? Seriously?

Yup.
