It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hope that website keeps track of people that back out of the page and don't wait through 32 seconds of ads. Cuz I'm not gonna do it, despite how much I love the Ackles. Crazytalk. If it's over 15 seconds, I want an up front option to skip.

Dean Winchester doesn't cry, he never does. but when things come to a head when visiting the Singer Salvage yard

If you can't be bothered to watch the show, why should I be bothered to read your fic? I don't think Dean even thinks Dean doesn't cry. I don't know whose PoV that summary could be from.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And thank you for the warning, ita !, I won't even click.

Kneel before Glod. ~Stephen Colbert

One picture I found of JA and DH. Can't really see much baby bump, but very sweet expectant parents.

I was surprised how much bump was showing at the PCAs. I'm used to searching for the baby. There must have been either an understanding of silence, or they're not famous enough for it to "break".

Because books.

I think the beading/spangles on Danneel's dress also made the bump more visible than it would have been otherwise.

Also, aw! Amy Sherman-Palladino is still fond!

AVC: Liza Weil, who played Paris on Gilmore Girls, shows up on Bunheads in these next few episodes. It seems like you’re working your way pretty near the top of that show’s cast—what other Gilmore Girls crossovers are you hoping for as the show goes on?

ASP: Well, I tried to see Jared Padalecki in between Supernatural moments, but it didn’t quite work out. He had to go back to Canada too soon. There’s a few out there I’d like to get on it. I was dying to write for Liza again. I just missed her. Liza is comedy gold. Her instincts are perfect. Perfect! I just love her, and I’m so excited that she’s back in our world. We’re slowly but surely making the rounds. I want them all back. I want to work with all of them again.

I've been out of the loop for a day or two, so I'm just coming to the costume spoilers. YOU GUYS!!!! Have you seen Dean's outfit for some unspecified reason/episode? I feel like there's a keylogger in my brain: [link]

And I know that an artist or two cougheuclasecough might feel a bit Kripked right now.

Does anyone know of any good fic that focusses on someone who suffers from the Winchesters' normal modes of operation--gets their car stolen, their credit jacked, etc?

I traipsed through AO3 D/C the other day, saving everything over 10K words that was complete that had been posted in the past week or so, and...good lord. I have learnt to stay away from NaNoWriMo efforts, because holy word padding, Batman! There is no distinction between valuable things to describe (actions, extra adjectives) and just...stuff. Also, boring with crap characterisation, but I was without internet connection, and that's all I had to read.

I did find a D/C that's almost too in love with itself, but it has the benefits of being written by someone who regards English as a tool to be used to an end, and also ropes in a number of religious ideas that Show never will. Plus Garth/Linda. Which Show shouldn't. When you hit a fic that says

'Blah blah blah.' Bibi's teeth were white.
instead of
'Blah blah blah.' Bibi said to the hunters and the angel and the girl that were in the same room that he was at that time, although some of them were thinking of leaving.

it's quite a relief.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

ita, I'm pretty sure that's Dean in next week's episode, LARP and the Real Girl.

That's a little bit disappointing, Morgana. I was looking for some righteous Lancelot.

Huh. I wonder if a Round Table AU exists and is compatible with my tendencies.

So....did we lose everyone? Why is a torrenting West Coaster the only one here to talk?

I have to say--Sam with a chick and Cas shotgun is my worst nightmare fic, and it didn't half hurt to see it get Kripked. But, you know--in the end they chose family/.

Jesus Christ--Jared continues to be an amazing specimen of the species. That "paint me like you paint your French girls" lounging just about killed me. But, no, still anti-Amelia. I guess she does exist for real, and there's no glamour, since she showed up alone to the motel.

Speaking of showing up to the motel, I love how Sam completely didn't expect Dean, which led me to guess, along with the tenor, that he never said where he was. Maybe he checked in as Wedge Antilles, though.

I'm gonna lay down internet money on the back half featuring Benny going Soylent again, but managing to take himself out (second vote is Sam taking him out in front of Dean). But that was a great breakup they had.

Cas, Cas broke my heart. Watching Naomi play him up and down the 180--it seems like she orders things he would do, and then the thing he would absolutely not do. I dig that she might have a fair mission, to avoid the angels being locked into heaven (season finale locks the door, and it all depends on what Misha wants to do next year--Cas gets locked away, and they don't see him again (until 1/2 way through S9, when they work out how to undo the thing that was so absolute the season before), or he is on this side of the door, and must pilgrimage to learn the ways of humans, to live among them, and he's also a pacifist (but not kooky), and we don't see him again until he gets into trouble 1/2 way through...you get the picture.

Carver? Call me!

I guess you go to hiatus in a moment of stress, but this episode feels like a much better pausing point--they're back to empty, and they have to work out a different way to achieve what they set as their goal at the start of the season, as well as puzzle out this new mystery of the haemolacriatic angel.
