Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I was thinking more along the lines of someone who had been affected by the supernatural, not a demon. Someone he could share that with, aside from Dean. But that also seems kind of unlikely.
The one thing I really don't want, and this is based entirely on him on the laptop saying, "Concern, not stalking," is for the picture perfect relationship with her to have been a fantasy. Because ... that would suck.
But that weirdly color-saturated scene, and whether or not he knew Dean was going to be at Rufus's cabin, are my only really sticking points right now. Because I still think if he was supposed to have known, 98% of their conversation after Dean tackles Sam is unbelievable.
Then Sam tells Dean not to retrieve him from the pit in S5
But Dean does try. And Sam knows this. So either Sam knows it's a rule that Dean will break for him, but he won't do the same, or they made the agreement afterwards.
I'm not as interested in how Sam and Amelia came to be humping uglies buddies (well, if there's a sex scene, I won't say no), but rather why he could walk out of the apartment seemingly without more than a sad backward glance (am I missing something?) and not seem to make any attempt to contact her in the interim. And...how did he know where and when to find Dean?
I guess that some of my day off will be spent doublecheking my confusion with 8x01.
I don't want her to be any sort of bad guy, even if they're on best behaviour. If they want to make her a benevolent something, that's fine (except if that's Gabriel's new vessel--I might
literally
puke in such a case) or maybe a human with an ulterior motive.
It is a bit of coincidence that they are at the same motel. She says she was there three months, but she never noticed the name of the people running the place? Maybe that's not coincidence after all, perhaps. Dunno.
I just...I really want Sam to be hunting because he wants to. Not because Dean yelled at him enough that he caved to his big brother (that is not what they mean when they said "use your words" Dean) or because it's just this one last job, and then he's out (in fact, that's a pretty good recipe for getting killed).
So either Sam knows it's a rule that Dean will break for him, but he won't do the same, or they made the agreement afterwards.
But does Sam ever say, "I know I was supposed to break the rule, but I didn't"? The way I interpret it is Dean is right to point out that they may have agreed not to look for each other in the past, but they never stuck to that. As far as I remember, Sam's not saying, "Hey, I was keeping our bargain!" but more ... "I was out of spoons. I had no idea where to start looking."
I remember, Sam's not saying, "Hey, I was keeping our bargain!" but more ... "I was out of spoons. I had no idea where to start looking."
See, I remember it the first way, and I don't have time to answer all my premiere questions, but I can sure look that up.
Okay, Sam walks out, and Amelia's eyes are open and
there is someone standing outside her house.
I swear it.
"After you looked for me...did you look for me, Sam?"
Sam looks away, slightly guiltily]
"Good. That's good. We always told each other not to look for each other. That's smart. Good for you. Of course, we always ignored that, because of our deep, abiding love for each other. But not this time, eh, Sammy?"
"Look, I'm the same guy, Dean."
"Well bully for you. I'm not."
[Dean leaves]
"Welcome back."
[Sam shrugs to an empty room.]
That's the initial conversation, at least. I can check the wiki when I'm back-I just wanted to get the body language and the precise leaving-Amelia details by rewatching.
Beau wants Amelia dead as soon as possible.
Waht bugs me is that they could have got to same plot place witout this portrayal of Sam.
"You did look for me right?"
"Yeah, 3 psychics. Nothing One witch - Had to kill her to stop her from turning me over to Crowley. I guessed Purgatory and alive when nobody could find you, but I could not find a way to reac purgatory.
Also had a really shity situation. Crowley still has Kevin and I have not found a way to reach him. And then they get the message from Kevin.
Also I have a girlfriend for a while but lost her.
=============
Pretty much the same situation in terms of plot, but with no new reason for Sam to feel guilty.
Really, le nubian? Why?

To me that shows Sam feels guilty, now that he knows where Dean was, not that he's insisting not searching was the right thing to do.
Amy,
I believe he does not like the actress and further he is dead tired of the Sam flashbacks that seem to go nowhere.
I am more tolerant. But I must admit I am ambivalent about her fate.
I agree the Sam flashbacks are slow-building, but they are going somewhere (I think). The difference with Dean's is that there's not actually that much to cover -- we're in Purgatory, we're fighting for our lives -- but the action in those scenes does give them a little more interest.
Plus, you know, Dean covered in sexy dirt and blood.
I forgot about vampirates! Love that.
