It's interesting that Dean's pragmatism (or maybe cynicism) seems to always be consistently right on, whereas Sam's pragmatism of season 4 seems to have been based on unfulfilled hopes and dreams.
I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Sam was afraid of drowning in evil, and the very next episode is "Born Under a Bad Sign" where he gets possessed and his body is used to murder and almost rape Jo? Oh, poor woobie.
