True, but doing what he's doing right now isn't really low-profile either.
The command to "rest" has a lot more weight given what happens with Dean later in S2.
So Dean stopped Sam from killing the bad guy, but during the car chase he got killed anyway, and Dean interprets that as something almost holy?
It's interesting that Dean's pragmatism (or maybe cynicism) seems to always be consistently right on, whereas Sam's pragmatism of season 4 seems to have been based on unfulfilled hopes and dreams.
