Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

It's really not scary, just ridiculous. And Plushtiel is sort of cute!

I am a complete sucker for any of the plush doll tumblrs. There's a Thor one, and I think there's a Loki one. Bu then, my indoctrination by Clovis makes me susceptible to those sorts of things.

... Now I want Plushtiel and Clovis to have a photo op together. Do I need an intervention?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a plushie Frodo in my bed, so I ain't gonna fight. He doesn't talk though If I had a Sam (Winchester) doll, I'd make them re-enact Mount Doom an awful lot, I fear.

"Here we are at the end of all things..."
"I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!"

Yup, still got my sap card, pocketed away. Can't keep it in the breast pocket with the hankie, because it kept falling out when I had to dab tears away and regain composure--and that's precisely the moment you need it the least.

Because books.

I need Sam and Dean plushies, too. And possibly Bobby. Hmmm.

Hey, I think I found a plot hole. In Croatoan, the nurse who attacks Sam is clearly a demon and in on the plan to see if Sam is immune to the virus, but when Dean shoots her, she just ... dies.

Is she a demon or a Croat victim? I thought she was the latter.

I swear I have major show-compromising plot holes, but they keep evaporating when I mean to post them. I need to keep better notes.

My OTT defense of 6&7, and my continued love of the Winchesters (and ranking 3 lowest, but liking it still) has actually gotten some Sera-sympathisers out of the woodwork. I hate when it's treated like "common knowledge" the show's in good hands, finally. Maybe it's in better hands, but I had fun with Sera's, so bite me.

Oh, maybe she was a victim.

New question: Do you think Dean really would have told Sam what John told him about having to kill Sam if he couldn't save him? That's one thing that's always nagged at me -- I just can't see Dean ever admitting that *to* Sam. (Plus, the way he didn't admit it during Simon Said, even when he was explaining nearly everything else about the Winchester way of life to Andy.)

Sera was the show's original fangirl. I never had a problem with what she did. Keeping a show compelling and fresh over that many seasons isn't easy, and if S6/7 weren't S1/2, there was still a lot of good stuff in there.

And it's not like Kripke wasn't on staff, for at least 6 (I think 7, but am not sure). I get the impression that this season, with Carver at the helm (and back from his vacation), zero Sera, and I think no Kripke at all, will be the most different. Can still be great (I am also the only person in the world (cue "Am I the only one who..." post) who isn't sure Community will suck, so take my words with appropriate salt), and I'm excited to see what will happen.

Sera said she was taking us back to basics, and Carver says, no really, we're going back to basics, the mythology got a little confusing, right? And I realise I don't know what "back to basics" actually means anymore. It's stopped looking like English.

Yeah, I'm not sure what that means either.

But I don't really care, for now. If Show's on, I'm watching. I may have mentioned the whole "irrational about it" thing.

I loathed S7 Buffy, and I still watched, you know?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I honestly think Season 6 went off the rails about midway through with dropped plots and wasted potential, and then mostly picked up right at the end. Season 7 started off awesome and has had the occasional good episode, but I think it took really promising and different main antagonists and squandered them by making them pedestrian. The cardinal sin is that I was bored by much of this last year's episodes. I still generally enjoyed the performances, but I did not think the show was being well-managed. (My opinion of Gamble WRT to the show is much like my opinion of Marti Noxon: a talented writer who's responsible for good episodes but probably shouldn't have been put in charge of the show as a whole.)

I think for me, when I get attached to show like this, I'm watching it sort of as a friend. As in, I don't really care about the Big Bads that much, I just want to know how my friends are doing, if that makes sense. Same way I wouldn't say I wished a friend's divorce had been more dramatic, with more of a clear-cut arc, I'm much more interested in just seeing Sam and Dean interact than I am in whatever the latest apocalypse is.

Which is weird, I realize.
