The Dean in my head is very much like a lot of guys I grew up with who listened to that kind of classic rock with a side of metal -- there is no dancing, but there's a lot of soulful singing along when you've had a few beers, and a LOT of air guitar and air drum.

I can see Sam having the moves, so maybe he is the one coaching Dean through it?

I can see Sam dancing with Jess. I can absolutely see him dancing sexy at home alone with Jess. But it's not something (I think) that would come naturally for him, and definitely not on his own.

Jared does such pointedly dorky dancing...

I can see him slow dancing just fine--did we actually see him do that in Red Sky At Morning? I can see him holding the older lady on what I've been assuming was the dancefloor, but not much more.

But, generally, my head canon has Dean as the more able of the two, even though he's also the more reluctant.

The Third Man was on this morning and soulless!Sam certainly knows the affect his body has on women. Nothing shy or awkward there. No dancing, but definite posturing.

Dean would absolutely be reluctant and stiff, at least at first. Would he feed off the audiences response?

In my imaginary version, Dean is the one most likely to say "Sure! Whatever gets the girls hot! Wait...why is Cas looking at me funny?"

What's your most and least favourite pieces of fanon?

What I don't like? Numbered bitchfaces and Dean hating Sam's hair. Ribbing him about it, but not actually giving a fuck. Not like his abject failure to like good music.

Bisexual Dean who occasionally hustled is probably my favorite. I was going to say reading!Dean, but that's actually canon now.

Oh, and it occurs to me -- someone who would probably be GREAT on the pole is End!verse Castiel. All hedonism, all the time.

I have some vague ideas of Sam at Stanford that have no evidence behind them, but nothing other than fooling around with a guy (named Brady) and thinking it was fine, but not worth crossing the street for.

Oh, right! In my fanon, Sam definitely experimented with boys at Stanford (more than just Brady, and possibly even once in high school), but he's much more het than gay, or even bi.

Stuff I hate is probably Sam hating John -- he resented him and was angry with him, but I don't think he hated him, even when he left. And I hate Hate HATE fanon that has John beating them both left and right.
