Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In my imaginary version, Dean is the one most likely to say "Sure! Whatever gets the girls hot! Wait...why is Cas looking at me funny?"

What's your most and least favourite pieces of fanon?

What I don't like? Numbered bitchfaces and Dean hating Sam's hair. Ribbing him about it, but not actually giving a fuck. Not like his abject failure to like good music.

I was just about to say that good-cook-Dean is my favourite, but damn! It's clearly bisexual Dean. I just keep forgetting it's only fanon.

Because books.

Bisexual Dean who occasionally hustled is probably my favorite. I was going to say reading!Dean, but that's actually canon now.

Why can't I think of anything for Sam?!

Oh, and it occurs to me -- someone who would probably be GREAT on the pole is End!verse Castiel. All hedonism, all the time.

Oh, my. Yes, 2014 Cas would be a brilliant stripper.

I have some vague ideas of Sam at Stanford that have no evidence behind them, but nothing other than fooling around with a guy (named Brady) and thinking it was fine, but not worth crossing the street for.

Oh, and he's a better lockpick than Dean.

Because books.

Oh, right! In my fanon, Sam definitely experimented with boys at Stanford (more than just Brady, and possibly even once in high school), but he's much more het than gay, or even bi.

I do love the cooking!Dean fanon.

Stuff I hate is probably Sam hating John -- he resented him and was angry with him, but I don't think he hated him, even when he left. And I hate Hate HATE fanon that has John beating them both left and right.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

All-time favorite boys dancing fic.

I love the matchup on the middle row the best: [link]

I would like to see them together, truly. And not just because of the father-doppleganger thing. That's just the cherry on top of all the whipped cream.

Oh yeah, I have to write some Dean/Tony. Mmmph. Although I would love to actually see The Avengers first, sob.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

And I hate Hate HATE fanon that has John beating them both left and right.

Amen to that.

I also hate fanon that has him abusing in any way (neglect, violence, harsh treatment) because he's lost in the bottom of a bottle somewhere. I think we do have evidence that he drinks, and we do have evidence of being a hard taskmaster who might have hit his kids (I do read corporal punishment from the dialogue), but a boozy abusive bigot? Fuck no. Stop messing his character up to give your story knee jerk pathos.
