I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You know, Dean would never sleep with Castiel, because he believes God would disapprove.

God, people, that's even tired as an excuse Dean is using to prevent himself from getting what he really wants.

Why would our Dean even remotely care about that, if Castiel is initiating the lap dance? So many writers treat it like it's a real concern.

The author who wrote the soulless Dean fic I mentioned before has actually two to her credit. Weirdly, the second one is not as good--she hits evil!Dean notes instead of soulless ones. It's kind of weird. Her first one has Dean crashing the Impala to throw people off his scent so he can get away before they put the soul back. Horrible, but plausible. The second one is a total throwback to Alistair-built Dean, and I have no idea why not having a soul would have him getting so much delight out of anything psychological or emotional.

Because books.

Well, sure, because Dean is so invested in God's opinion. @@

I don't like evil boys. It makes me incredibly unhappy. Soulless!Sam can be okay if he's written the way he is on the show, but that's rare in my experience.

I am surprised I've only seen soulless Dean these two times, and by just the one author. I'd have expected more people to be playing with the premise, but then again, I only browse within the pairing. It's hardly representative.

Turns out I did not like this evil Dean, especially not within this conceit. However, in AUs, I have enjoyed him from time to time. I think it's pretty much key that they're all evil, and not hurting each other. That's my big sad.

However, everyone's seen The Adventures of Soulless Cas, right? It's some of the funniest shit ever, and there's REAMS of it.

Seriously, I think they should refuse to pose for this picture. Professional integrity and stuff.

Oh, and just in case anyone's behind in picture-looking-atting like me, I did not have these in my files.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

How can she even see what she's doing? She could be messing up his hair for all she knows.

What she is doing is running her fingers through Jared Padalecki's hair with no recrimination, and FOR A LIVING.

Everything else is detail, irrelevant detail.

God, he really does look like puppy getting scratched behind the ears. A Great Dane, maybe.

Is Jensen standing on something? Or is Jared bending his knees?

It's patently not a picture Supernatural fans are going to fall for. What's the point? It's almost distracting me from Jared getting petted.

Maybe that's why Jensen looks sort of peeved. Poor noodle. Six feet isn't short, Jensen! We know!

He is rather fixated, isn't he?

I just had the nicest SPN D/C fangirl conversation on IO9 with someone who seems to be about the same level of crazy I am. It's really refreshing to bump into people who aren't side-eying you or anything. Like, when you're out in the non-LJ non-tumblr world.

And thank god the IO9 posters just back off and let me crey. Hell, they even leave me SPN-shaped holes to post into. Some of them even caught Show cooties, which is remarkable considering...they are boys and stuff.
