Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I may or may not have a reasonably accurate opinion that there's no way they're cutting deeply enough to get that much blood to well that quickly.
But I'm visualising Dean slicing his arm to attract vampires--I don't remember the speed Cas bled at.
I think the snark picture is from Bad Day at Black Rock, shortly before or after he says he's Batman.
Didn't he throw a remote control then? I'm having problems remembering him with two guns like that, but it's definitely a Bad Rock face.
He threw a remote, but also a pen, which jammed one of the guns aimed at him. I think maybe the guy fell, and the gun went flying and Dean caught it? I'd have to rewatch.
Cas pushed it maybe a quarter inch into his arm, and it dripped down over the side, really dark and thick, immediately. I always think it should be redder at first.
I have no idea why I'm thinking about it, either.
Pie:
One of my favorite moments in Lucifer Rising is when Dean bursts in. He and Sam don't even speak, but Dean has the knife out, and like they practiced it, Sam grabs Ruby so Dean can kill her. Just beautiful teamwork, completely unspoken.
For me it's the weapon toss in Hook Man. I mean, I need to GIF that, or something--throwing a knife to someone is such a royally bad idea, but when it works...why, it really works.
(I am also reminded of my favourite Spuffy moment, when Spike threw the knife to Buffy in the kitchen during the snotmonster from space episode--it was at a time where Riley wasn't as copacetic with fighting side by side with her, but Buffy had been nothing other than lethal the whole time Spike knew her, much less loved her.)
I'm pretty sure Ash put it in her Go To Work vid. I'm pretty sure I asked her to.
They also have a good moment as they come up to partner speed in It's A Terrible Life. Hell, just clearing a room together makes me kinda weak.
It's not weapons, but teamwork, when Sam blows up the house on Gordon in Bloodlust and rescues Dean, he cuts free one hand and works on the ankles while Dean gets his other hand free--the gag comes last, and Dean gets it himself. It's just one, two, three, four, and then hands all over Sammy.
The hand signals while clearing the house in Mag7 were pretty awesome, too.
Of course, crisp, silent hand signals always perk me up.
The outtakes for Hook Man were hilarious, though.
Since there's that movie Ted opening soon, Wishful Thinking has been on my mind, as an apex of teddy bear-dom (the teddy action in Chronicle was also good, but fake, so....)
I rewatched this: [link] and, good lord, do I love how they bounce off each other to get all the way to their lollipop disease quarantine requirements. I especially like the head gesture that means "Get out your ID and follow my lead, little bro".
Off topic, but the stuffing flying out of his head cracks me up every time.
Also love when Teddy says to Dean, meaning what's on the news, "Do you believe this?" Dean's voice and the expression on his face when he says, "Not really," are fucking priceless.
It does make you wonder -- if they had cast different actors for Sam and Dean, even only one, would the show have lasted this long? Their chemistry together has been so obvious from the beginning.
I know people talk about the Christian Kane possibility, and I like the guy fine, loved Lindsay, still love Eliot, but I can't really think of anyone else in the Winchester shoes. I've seen them go through too much. Especially with Jensen, I don't think there's much room or much point doing it differently. Jared played catchup a bit, but their chemistry was always there, while he was getting better hitting the notes.
