Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Since he was there to see that they disappeared at the same time Dick went schploot, he may have suspicions.

I have to admit though, if I were in his position I wouldn't be thinking Dick Roman's death dragged them all to Purgatory so much as that he went kablooey and disintegrated Dean and Cas into black muck along with himself.

No body, no death. I think in Sam's life, where even if there's a body it's not always the end of the line, a complete vanishment with no residue? I'd attack that as they'd been teleported somewhere. Especially since Cas *can* teleport.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I wonder if Dick died in the sense that he ceases to exist on any level, or if he got sent back to P-town, too. I wonder if the "ripping apart" there means Dean and Cas can die in P-town. If so, why hadn't all the creatures there ripped each other to shreds by the time Cas consumed them? Wouldn't it be more like hellish torture where your body is renewed once you "die"? And will they hold an extra grudge against Cas for "freeing" them then sending them back?

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

He's got miles and traumas and afflictions and his own experience in Hell and then living with a broken mind (where he sucked it up and kept going).

But "he sucked it up and kept going" specifically for Dean ("I can't leave my brother alone out there"). And then there was the whole Stone One thing. I'm not implying that he's going to curl up into a fetal position and stop eating and bathing because Dean's not there, but I think he will not be handling this well. I'm going to stick with my choice of the word "fragile" until I come up with one I like better.

I assume if killing Dick opened a gateway to Purgatory, there was something left to go back there. No idea what state he/it's in, or now capable of. You'd think being iced by a weapon created via instructions from God would involve some serious reduction in one's ability to further perpetrate evil.

Cas mentioned the monster souls preying on each other for all eternity, so I guess they're as hardy as Death indicated the rest of human souls are. So far as we know, the only process that might actually destroy a soul is degenerating into a demon over time and then being killed by one of the methods that work against them. At least it appears that killing them via the Colt, Ruby's knife, etc. renders them into a state other than being returned to Hell as with exorcism.

I do hope we get Sheriff Mills and Sam working together next season. I've always liked that actress, and the two of them have good chemistry.

I think Cas is just scouting the territory in Purgatory. So, does this mean Misha is back for a spell? That would be nice.

Art Crawl!!!

Wouldn't it be lovely if we got Missouri back?

Yes, indeed.

Missouri has such a huge presence in fanfic that it's hard to remember that she only appeared in one episode. I'd love to see her back again. (The sheriff too, although the sheriff's knowledge of the supernatural is pretty marginal.)

I've read speculation that Lenore and Madison might be wandering around Purgatory as friendly presences.
