I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it's going to be weird if an actual canon couple doesn't win

A canon couple won't win, that's pretty sure. The only one is the tweet-in, and it's way behind.

I'm avoiding my most fannish tumblr account, so it's within tolerance. Only two people on my true namesake feed post about it, and cafedelabiell usually accompanies it with art.

I just read this which gave me all the sads. Nominally D/C (no consummation, or anything)--monologues by our major characters on the state of their emotions. Mostly pre-series.

I do think that pre-series tends to make some overly inclusive mistakes about canon. I think it's pretty clear that the boys didn't memorise exorcisms until after the series started, and it seemed that they may never even have practised them, based on their surprise about Meg. So many authors have at least Sam expert in Latin, and familiar with the rituals.

Also any pre-series hunts for vampires with the boys bother me.

serial:

I would *really* like it if people outside the SPN fandom would stop trying to convince me that fandom in general was weird and J2 shippers are the weirdest thing that ever happened. It's such a horrendous lack of history and perspective on fandom, and I seriously don't want to hear it.

Yes, the spn_gossers are weird. But if you didn't live through LotR tinhats and have somehow forgotten Twilight moms, just to toss a couple other off the top of my head, shut it.

In the past week, three people have tried to educate me about fandom. Why, thanks guys. I never would have imagined.

Because books.

What are spn_gossers?

They're the participators of the J2 gossip anonymous meme. They, by and large, are batshit out of touch with reality.

They are not, however, a new or isolated phenomenon.

Jesus, the .gif icon on that page is a little startling.

Those are the ones who believe the wives are beards, etc., yes? The terrify me.

Yup, pretty much. Clif and Jim are rumoured to have posted there also.

Hey, was this pic: [link] determined to have been a shop, or something?

Also, I love how unremitting huge Jared looks in this: [link]

I know the guys are aware of fanfic, and Wincest, and they seem genuinely appreciative of the fans, but if I were them, and knew some of the crazier rumors and obsessions, I can't imagine how I would attend those cons without being completely uncomfortable.

I think, seriously, that most of us are either okay, or can hide the crazy, and I'm sure the reward of looking people in the eye that like what you do so much must be amazing.

Nobody's perfect, but they must be pretty good at pretending and hiding their soft parts by now. Still, that's no excuse to act like asses, so I am still judgy about the fans in question.

Someone's trying to illuminate me by telling me that Jared and Jensen act lovey dovey now to play with the fans, and...I have to disagree. Misha hams it up with whoever, and Jared in particular responds in kind, but there is markedly less J2 fodder than there used to be.

I AM THE EXPERT. KOO KOO KACHOO.

Not everyone on the internet out there is pissing me off--I posted an animated GIF of the unicorn, and a non-viewer was moved to say:

If I ran TV, Every drama commission I'd make would have a contract guaranteeing at least 1 unicorn farting rainbows per season, no matter the genre. Cop show? Rainbow farts. Historical? Rainbow farts. Sci-fi/fantasy? Rainbow faaaaaaaaarts.

Touching.

One of the LA IO9ers was waiting for Netflix to stream SPN to watch it, and now that he's plowed through a season and a half he's kicking himself for not going ahead and renting the discs. I love to see that. And he's not the only one sucked in by the streaming either.
