Oh, good god. Dean/Castiel made it to the next round. They even got their picture in the header.
I don't know what the chances are, as this is an E! Online poll that presumably pulls in a lot more mainstream readers than the relatively niche Spoiler TV. But I like the idea of that hinted winner interview juxtaposed with the most fanservice-y showrunners ever.
I'm being forced to make cookies no one likes but me, otherwise they disappear in a day. I made a whole jar -- probably nearly four dozen -- of those brownie cookies, and had TWO before they were gone.
Hmph.
Anyway, to be topical, I can't imagine Dean not enlisting to serve in Vietnam, and the thought of it makes me weep.
If youone wrote it 2014!Cas, he could be one of the resisters with Sam, and that's the conflict Dean has to resolve in order to be with him, or vice versa.
You know, if he needed to be shopped into the picture too...
I thought I was clear about not giving me bunnies.
::makes notes anyway::
DEAN. There are tears! ::sniffle::
I guess I can't complain she's too fluffy now, huh?
STOP MAKING IT HURT.
I am attempting to read an AU where the author admits upfront that Dean and Cas resemble the characters only physically. And it's in google docs, and every so often the font goes blurry, and I have to refresh and page back down. I am adverse to dling fics, but I might break down tomorrow, considering how long the fic is.
Otherwise, it's a good read so far.
Interview with both guys before The Slice Girls--no spoilers.
I waited too long. It says video removed. :(
But guess who is watching Supernatural on Netflix streaming? This girl!!
What's in it for you if the characters only share a physical resemblance? Being able to animate/populate stories with faces you are familiar with?
I think I'd probably rather read an OOC fic than a completely unrelated one, and I'd go along fixing it in my head. But I also don't read RPF, and I understand for a lot of people it's getting their favourite actors to act out stories, rather than Jensen did this, Jared is like this. Me, even when it's done badly, I'm reaching for the guys on the screen, or some interesting variation thereof.
Horse races, horse races.
I was reading some Steven Brust over dinner this evening, and god, I'd love to read Brust-written Supernatural fic. I love his sarcastic pragmatic tone. I think he'd be really good at it.
Who would you guys like to see turn their word processor to the Supernatural world and/or characters?
