Okay, judging from the comments, non timebo mala is legible. That's incredibly tempting...
Wait, I'm a little disturbed I know the Latin offhand. Not surprised, but disturbed.

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Someone found my fic on storyfinders. Intrigued, I scrolled the first page to find the context but no joy. Began scrolling the tags, and where do I find asexuality listed?
As a kink.
I'm kind of ticked off.
I think for consumers, it is a kink. Just like slash is a kink, but that doesn't mean *being gay* is a kink.
Based on the stuff I kept accidentally scanning last night in the Cabin Pressure meme, it totally is for consumers and many writers.
(I also suspect the definition of kink has expanded for fandom to the point where it has lost all meaning.)
Anything you particularly get off on in a story at this point, I think counts as one for filing purposes. I don't think masturbation is kinky, but it's a definite fic kink.
Sneak peek for this week.
Just watching Sam's face as Dean gets blown off is priceless. The little brother is always in there somewhere.
ita !, focus on the 'off' in that sentence. It's important.
Well, what your brain does on its own time is no one's business but your brain's.
I think kink has come to mean taste in fic oftentimes. It's very imprecise but I'm likely guilty too. Though I think I usually say flavor.

Yeah, I can see that. And it turned out that it wasn't related to my fic. I guess it's tender for me because one of the early conversations I had going into this story was "am I treating an asexual character as a priest kink or "let's turn the straight boy gay! kink"" and I realized that I didn't want to do that, that I wanted to treat it straight. The kink of convincing a person to go against their sexual preferences wasn't what I was personally going for, in the end, but I can see it, and have read it and loved it. I guess I just wish that there was also a tag that didn't include the word "kink". But, hell, glasses are in there. And slash itself is the biggest kink of all, for the most part turning canonically straight characters gay or bi.
