cringe-inducing mystical preggers
I guess I don't get why you think it will be cringe-inducing? And in terms of condensing, that's exactly it. Why waste the minutes in another episode showing Dean hooking up when it has nothing to do with that story? They only have so much time to work with.
I guess that's the unrealistic part of me that wants to see story points that aren't foreshadowing, that aren't plot points, that are just moments in the boys lives. That not everything has to be part of some over-arching plot, that there's some shit in their lives that just IS. Maybe it's a red herring, maybe it's a casuality to the main arc, or maybe it's just a stepping stone. I don't need (and Want) for Show to be a Dickens story where every scene is relevant to the plot A or B.
Maybe just the concept of the next ep rubbed me the wrong way.
edited for appropriate author
I guess I'd just rather have an ep with Dean random sexing after Frank's speech
Amy's right in that we don't do just moments in their lives. Sleeping with Madison wasn't a moment, it was still crucial. While Madison wasn't the catalyst for the plot, it was huge, since she was his first sex since Jess.
There isn't time for Dean to offhandedly have sex, not in how they set up the show, really. And I don't want Dean to offhandedly have sex right now, because it wouldn't be plausible to me. Either to Dean or to the plot, I do think him having sex is a big deal.
But I don't know--maybe it's like him not being able to smile, maybe it's him learning to smile, I don't know. I've only seen the same few seconds you have, and I don't think I've ever disliked an episode on the basis of a trailer. My accuracy of prediction isn't good enough for me to get worked up about it. It will take the episode itself to make me dislike it.
This is the kind of fanart I love. Accomplished but with just enough of a raw edge, and the artist's personality is evident.
Also, DEAN. Mmmm.
Hey! Someone finally did a vid to "Kiss With a Fist"! It's D/C, where I was imagining Sam and Dean (gen), and it's a little more lighthearted than I thought it would be, but I love the last shot.
Let me go look at that.
Note to author:
compelling (using power or influence to get someone to do something whether they want to or not), so... maybe non-con?
Sure, there's something in the story that could mitigate it, but as described? Yeah, non-con so far.
I just realised I downloaded it yesterday and then my text messages blew up and I never looked. I like it--it's fun, and CAS, COME BACK BABY. ALL IS FORGIVEN. Of course, feel free to come back and cause pain too. I'm not picky, I just miss Misha.
Isn't it fun? I loved it, even if it's not quite the vid I imagined when I heard the song. Not that I commissioned it or anything, but the artist should know IT'S ALL ABOUT ME.
You know when you're reading a story, and you're thinking that just because it's an AU, that doesn't quite justify the liberties the author's taking? But you keep going, because you've started, so you might as well finish? Sometimes you hit a sentence like this:
Dean thinks it's better than being obsessed with something that can ruin your life, like drugs, or sex, or porn
Are they watching the CW too or not? I mean, what are they in it for? Some changes you make, and it's just Jensen and Misha acting out your secret fantasies, and Jensen's playing a guy who loves his brother very much. And that's all the research you seem to have done.
eta: And Misha is six foot tall. Stop feminising him and treating him like he's a midget. Good god. I really need to get better with the back button.
The ones that get me are the ones where Sam and Dean call each other pet names and hold hands and go on dates. Seriously? I read Wincest, and even I can't see that happening.
