Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I like that Ness was a hunter for the rightness of it. I was getting a bit tired of "Here's my loss" Hunter show and tell. I know it's hard, and there's a big risk of death, danger, and privation, but some people do do that shit without being damaged into it, or inducted by psycho fathers.
More like the Campbells being in the business because they're in the business. Dean needs more of that. He needs positive role models. Hunting needs positive role models.
I will stand in staunch defense of Sam's flowing sideburns.
But they're competing with his hair! He's getting positively hirsute.
Although you won't see me complaining if Sam suddenly needs to grow a beard.
I love hiatus!Jared's mountainman beard, but I'm cracking myself up imagining a Sam Beam beard on him.
I am breathlessly awaiting screencaps of Dean with his coat and jacket off, interrogating the little guy. Ho mamma.
Loved Ness' little look of surprise when Dean's tough guy act worked so quickly.
Loved how, for the most part, Dean looked like a little boy playing dress-up, with his glee and doofiness.

I thought he pulled it off pretty well. I mean, when he wasn't talking about the movies.
One little quibble I have with the otherwise stellar show is that it involved yet another god from the Eastern hemisphere spending time in America and westernizing themselves despite no connection to the locale. In "Scarecrow" and "Hammer of the Gods" there were sensible reasons for them to be here, but for Leshii, Veritas. Chronos, Osiris, and the duo from "A Very Supernatural Christmas" it just seems out of place. (Though I did appreciate that Osiris presented as foreign.) Why not use Native American or Mesoamerican gods that would be far more logically active on these shores?
Then they wouldn't have gone back to the 1940s.
Wasn't Chronos' point that he was not where he was supposed to be? In terms of worshippers, etc, he was doing all this to perpetuate an artificial state. He has no worshippers, why does he have to be anywhere in particular?
And on the flip side, why does any god have to be anywhere in particular? If you count them all up, it's still a dramatic minority that we've encountered in America.
Also, he was in love, with a girl who lived in Canton, OH.
I think all the food Jared's eating is going to support his hair, which is also leaching energy from his body. He's getting all skinny again. Verging on pencil neck. I didn't like his look when he was at his beefiest, but I don't like to think of him as Hollywood-thin, either.
I'm still wide-eyed over, "So are you going to watch more cartoon smut or are you strictly into Dick now?" And Sam's smirk!
I've looked, but I can't find the cite, dammit. Jensen was asked, in one of those spot video interviews, whether Dean is strictly straight. His reply: "Oh, Dean's about as straight as a slinky."
