I'm not reading above posts, because I just starting watching my DVRd ep. I have to say, the montage of the sad boys at the beginning... first, aw, boys. Second, my GOD they are beautiful to look at! Especially on this lovely, big TV not of mine.

Also, what up with the time slip on the beer. Intriguing!

I'm choosing to believe it was Bobby's ghost that drank the beer.

Because books.

The beginning was really beautifully understated and very real. The first shot of Dean and Sam just sitting there was heartbreaking.

"Dear Mr. Fantasy" almost killed me at the end, with Dean tearing up. Jesus.

Loved Dean's interactions with Chrissy, too. And she was a badass little thing. Ten years, and she'd be perfect for him.

The beer thing was interesting. I wonder if it'll turn into something bigger, the way Sam's hand did. And Dean sleeping like that -- although I find it hard to believe he slept for 36 hours sitting up with his head propped against the wall, but whatever.

I found it weird that Mr. TinFoil didn't find Dean crashing for 36 hours odd, even if he'd been in serious sleep debt (also, way to go, makeup department & Jensen, making Dean actually look haggard and sleep deprived. I hate it when a character says to another "you look like shit" and that character looks as beautiful and as rested as ever).

I can't begin to fathom the lost time. At first I thought it might be case related, but no other characters suffered from it. Sam had to speculate why Dean couldn't remember drinking his beer, but Tinfoil was totally copacetic with Dean checking out. So maybe that was a separate incident, the latter being normal catchup, and the former supernatural.

Well, that sucks. My DVR failed to record tonight's episode. The red record light was on, but there is nothing on my DVR. ::sadface::

hmm...i assumed the beer thing was them being a little heavy handed with the whole "Dean's an alcoholic who doesn't even realize how much he drinks" thing.

the Chrissy/Dean scenes were fabulous. so good to see the boys again.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

tiggy, I thought the same at first, and then he lost 36 hours, and then I went conspiracy theory, and then debunked that, so maybe it is just that Dean is so far gone he didn't realize he'd already downed the beer. Makes Tinfoil not blinking at his long nap seem kosher. And yet...

I guess we'll see.

God, I loved Chrissy's reaction to learning Sam had been in college, and the realization that she actually had an option, and then Dean encouraging her . . . Beautiful. It spoke so much of how Dean retroactively felt about Sam's past options. Loved it.
