Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I hadn't decided if I thought he was seeing things, or making sure he wasn't seeing things, but I am willing to file it under "Repercussions, Hell, Satan-related". It's a decently big file in the Winchester section.
I'm trying to watch Charlie St. Cloud (don't ask), but there's a tight fraternal relationship and the younger brother is called Sammy, and HE'S GOING TO DIE.
I don't want that to happen. Couldn't they have named him Tommy?
Does someone have a little Zac Efron crush going on?
I have a Zac Efron issue. I don't think he's a crap actor. I don't think this is going to pay off like the Chris-Evans-is-not-just-a-sassy-hothead position I was in the minority in having a year or so ago, but still.
I have a suspicion that many people who have a hate on for him haven't watched more than ads for High School Musical, so I just figured that I'd watch this and see if my position changed.
Lo and behold...he's perfectly serviceable. He won't go home with an Oscar, but he's a decent actor, charismatic, and mad pretty.
He really is. I think he's going to be pigeon-holed because of the pretty, though, coupled with his height, or lack thereof.
That said, I think he's got a decent career in musical theater if he wants it.
I guess he doesn't, because he turned down Footloose. I would have seen it if he'd been in it, though. He was totally charming in
17 Again,
and I am just not sure why people hate him so much. Or so often. If it's seriously because he's a pretty boy, that's horrifically shallow, and I do want to think better of people.
eta: I totally think the kid playing Sammy could play a young JP. He's got a funny nose too.
I thought the young Bobby was going to be a younger Sam the first time he appeared. Colin Ford, why did you have to grow up?
Now, I kinda want CF added to the team. He's old enough and independent enough not to be a cousin Oliver.
I'm pressing the palm of my hand to make sure last show wasnt an hallucination.
- Bobby, say hi to Ellen and Jo*
Colin Ford, why did you have to grow up?
He's fine for teen!Sam for a while!
I think Dean's "Sam? You gotta carry *me*!" in Bobby's scrapyard was prophetic. I think, despite his issues with his wall falling, hallucinations still going on (I wonder what, or who, he was seeing in the waiting room when he was squeezing the scar on his palm?) Sam's actually developed some coping mechanisms. It's a lot to cope with, but he has them.
Dean, on the other hand, has always been so busy taking care of other people and plowing forward to the next thing and getting done what needs to be done he's neglected or avoided devising any sort of coping strategies. I think avoidance has gone as far as he can push it. I think he's going to fall completely apart, and I think Sam's finally going to have to carry Dean. I also think Sam's been waiting to do that for a long time. And I think more than anybody on earth, Sam's up to the task.
Hmm. I think that's a really interesting thought, Beverly. It'll be very good watching if it goes that way.
I'm scared this season is going to tear Dean down, and when they build him back up again, he won't be a substance abuser.
