Oh, Amy, there was an article about YA necrophilia on IO9 (a YA film about girl on zombie love is coming out soon) and I pimped your book. I hope I pimped it right, because I'm actually halfway through. You're not the only bad person out there. I need to get some *good* down time and curl up with it.
Link? I'd like to see what movie it is.
And thank you! Totally not your job, but very awesome of you.
It is not a job. It is a pleasure. I really like what I've read so far. And during my designated reading time I only put it down because everything I had to read it on ran out of batteries due to bad planning and lack of plentiful outlets in airports.
I've never heard of that book. Must look into it. The movie does sound problematic, though.
I'm so glad you're enjoying it! I ... was going to babble about it, but not here.
Stepping away from ita's head and ita's issues for a moment to share this.
Some of us love SPN first and last who are not subsumed by sexytiems--between anybody. Which is my head and my issue.
Back to your regular channel.
Um. I had a discussion about this recently with somebody, and it's re-clarified and reemphasized for me that I find relationships between characters more interesting if there's no sex. It seems like the point of 99% of fic is to get somebody in bed--or up against a wall, or whatever. Personally I find Sherlockian intimacy far more intricate and fascinating than aforesaid sexytiems. I realize I am in the vast minority here, and that vanishing few other people share my preference. Which is why I mostly let others carry the conversation to their preference and interests.
Bev, you can talk about the show and the characters and their non-sexual interactions all you want. No one's stopping you. In fact, I think a lot of people would join you, if you started conversations like that.
And I think you're disregarding a lot of conversation in here about Dean's drinking, for instance, or his guilt issues, or where Sam's head is now, and speculation about their childhood, among a dozen other non-sexual points of interest on the show. We're not *only* talking about sex.
While I enjoy the ideas of Dean, Sam, and Cas in various entanglements, I personally love the relationship between Sam and Dean the most. It's what makes the show unique and fascinating to me.
To me, fic and show are often very different things. W
Jared and Gen Halloween - a friend sent me this picture. Most amusing is that her little boy had the very same costume.
