Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
No, it's not wincesty at all. At least I don't see it. I just see regular Sam and Dean brother love. Then again, sometimes I am naive. But I didn't get that vibe at all.
Take that back! Hardison would be buds with Sam! Separation! Separation!
I try! Usually I am good and can enjoy Hardison on Leverage, but when I see the stabby scene, it just was too in my face.
Oddly, I get no overlap at all. I'm not saying Aldis is a Laurence Olivier, or anything, but Jake and Alec have always been distinct for me, and I can rage at the one and love the other with no latency.
Honestly, I bet I could tell in a few seconds if Aldis was playing Jake or if he was playing Alec. He's goooood.
eta:
I can haz SHOW nao?!!
I remember seeing Aldis in a few other shows and all I could think of was then was "Jake! Jake!" and seethe with burning hatred. But that was closer to the first time I saw him kill Sam, and it was more my problem than his, of course. It took about one full episode of Leverage for me to make the mental switch over to Hardison, and I absolutely love him as Hardison.
I never hated Jake. They gave just enough of his backstory for me to understand how far out of his depth he was, how scared by Azazel's threats to his family, and how desperate he was to survive.
I mean, he didn't know Sam from Adam. I liked that he wasn't a random, conveniently mustache-twirling demon, but a character.
I always felt really sorry for Jake. I wanted him rescued, because Stan held his family hostage to get him to turn. He didn't want to. He'd have died himself, but he couldn't let his family suffer. I have no beef with Jake.
Voodoo, on the other hand. Him I still resent.
Did we know that Aldis was in Fear Itself on Buffy?
Alec's pretty much in a class by himself, though, a more fully-realized character that we know more about and feel more connected to than the walk-ons, no matter how well they were played.
Okay, he might not like Plants vs. Zombies, but I'm going to amuse myself thinking of Dean playing this.
IO9 said that the clip Jared uploaded yesterday was from filming tonight's episode. In which case, I can prepare to bust a gut just thinking about it in its absence.
Nope, I was irrational, and blamed Jake. Along with the YED, of course.
Voodoo, on the other hand. Him I still resent.
Beverly, I'm drawing a blank. Who's Voodoo?
Ray "Voodoo" Tatum, the ringer Buddy brought onto the Dillon Panthers team because he was such a good player--but he wasn't a team player. He was in it for the college package he could get out of it. Friday Night Lights. Sorry, crossing the streams.
So Voodoo, Not A Nice Guy. Aldis? Pretty great actor.
Sorry, crossing the streams.
That explains it. I never watched FNL.
.......
And now I'm waiting for the rest of the exercising!
