So... Dean is a lying liar who lies?

Yes, Dean is a lying liar who lies. . . and always thinks he knows better than his little brother.

Because books.

That left me gaping and speechless. The whole beginning of the episode was "Aww, not so wee! Sammy!" and then the end was POW! Winchester angst.

Oh, DEAN. You don't trust anyone or anything anymore.

And there I was thinking Sammy should be the one, that when everything seems fine and Dean's handing you the keys and easygoing is when you must worry, and wonder if they're going to shut you in a makeshift panic room again.

Instead ... I still can't believe it. Actually, I can totally believe Dean offing HER. What I can't believe is that he left her son there alone, with her body. Honestly, I would have been happier if he'd killed the boy, too.

I dunno, this week's story left me a but hollow. Will have tom rewatch. It seemed like a bridge episode, a stepping stone to other stories, maybe, and not a proper story in itself. We got an awesome glimpse into Sam's childhood, a crush that turns into opening his eyes about monsters and shades of grey, we get Dean not limping after taking his cast off early, and hello atrophied muscles, where'd you go? Must be Castiel's trenchcoat staving off the pain, but I digress (yes, I just read that fic).

Sam gets up to his hijinks of ditching Dean and doing things under the radar (I understand this instance, since it was always a secret with him and Amy [POND!]). Dean figures it out, ganks her anyway, shits his pants at the sight of the kid, then tells the kid to bring it on. Leviathans still looking for them, and becoming fans of artificial cheese.

I dunno.

Also, I was waiting for Amy to be killed all ep, and I didn't realize my Staite hate was so strong, because damn did I love that little girl and her weird beauty.

edited it's a "bit hollow" not a "but hollow". Apparently I've been reading too much pron.

I was actually wondering -- Bobby seemed a little too unconcerned about Sam going AWOL.

They have established that when the Leviathans want to eat someone, they take on their forms first...

So, what Matt, you're thinking that Bobby is a Leviathan now? Because if he was, he wouldn't have snuck Sam out of the hospital, he'd've killed him right then.

Unless I'm missing another conclusion.

I think I have to agree. I mean, we have tons of evidence that Dean is a soft touch for kids and of course we shouldn't expect him to actually murder a child, monster or not (look at Jesse -- he actually stood against Castiel to protect Jesse). But, from Dean's perspective, this kid is undeniably a monster, so the fact that he left him alive means that humans are going to die because of it.

And Sam was being unquestionably naive -- when he was tracking Amy through the woods (and how cool was that scene?) she was hunting. So as much as she may say she's done killing, well, no.

And people keep reacting to her last name. What am I missing with the "Pond"?
