I'm going to try to avoid the sneak peaks and promos (but will probably break by Wednesday).
I'm also on pins and needles about reversebang. It's a different kind of anxiety than waiting to be picked by an artist. There's the anxiety about not getting what you want/anything at all, and then there's the "what if my artist hates me/my style?"
Did you do reversebang last year, ita?
And, reversebang post is up.
ART POST IS UP!!!!
No, I didn't, Anne. This is my first year of fanart.

I don't recognise as many artists as I'd thought I would, although I see PM and casseiopia and artmetica and another name that's escaping me right now. There's a lot of manipping. Not that much straight up painting and CGI, and very few people in my medium.
So glad that's out there now! I just have to make it until Thursday, see if I get the love.
There's way more manipping than I expected, and it's really disappointing to me. I guess I expected mostly traditional media. A lot of vids, too, which I didn't even know were included.
I have to admit I didn't look at the vids. I should do that.
I didn't expect that much manipping either. I don't pay much attention to that side of fanart. Some was well done, and as someone who works in B&W, I'm always jealous of a full colour picture, however you got there.
My stuff, I'm assuming, is really damned obvious.
I think some of the photo collaging/manipping with different color overlays and shadowing is really pretty, but ... it's just not what I expect out of fanart. I mean, the PR department at the network could do it, you know?
I don't know why, but I have no interest in writing a story based on a vid. I think because no matter what the images are all going to be something I've seen before, so.
And wow, do the really specific prompts put me off. Write your own story, if you're demanding that many details.
I'm not very good at fandom.
