And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oh, bless Misha. They call him MishMish on LJ. Or, well, some people do. In a capslock community. I am disarmed by the capslock philosophy of frivolous enthusiasm expressed via capslock, and yet I cannot bring myself to do the ASSCAPS thing. Anyway, yes - MishMish.

Which charms the hell out of me, because it's Arabic (or at least Egyptian Arabic, I don't know if it's Classical Arabic - but it also crops up in Dune, come to think of it - but then, I think that's largely Egyptian Arabic too, upon further reflection) for apricot.

"Fill Mishmish" was one of my favourite phrases - "In the time of the apricots", which you use instead of "When pigs fly" or "Sure, once in a blue moon!" type of thing. Because apricots are such a delicacy, and their season is so fleeting.

MishMish.

Bless.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hmmm. Would his Daisy Dukes then be apricot smugglers?

...did I say that out loud?

Yes, yes you did. Thank you.

You said it loud enough that it was heard on the other side of the globe, my dear.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

like, yes, gore, but definitely a do-not-miss ep. I'm sure she has her strategies for dealing with the gore...

This is what the laptop, and the very large cat, are for.

Perkins and I have similar SPN strategies. Though different sizes of cat.

(Hi, Notepad, fancy finding your window with an unposted post in it.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

There is thunder. There are thunderstorms predicted through 1:00 AM. We lose both power and cable, though not often both at the same time, during thunderstorms. Ordinarily I would be, "Okay, if the tv doesn't catch it, the dvr will." Er, not so much. Do.not.want.

Want show.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Also want show. In a just world, I would be settling down to watch in 7 minutes. But no. I will have to wait another hour while everyone else in the Eastern/Central time zone gets to watch.

Thank you, local affiliate KraPtacuLaR. Thank you very much.

t /first world problems

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oh man...I will be hoping for steady power, cable for Bev.

Wheee! Show!!

eta: Anne, sure it's a first world problem. But it's a dang irritating one when we have already waited a week. Want NOW.

I have to go watch show.....
