Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you have a thing for Dean and a thing for thigh holsters, you should look at this. Pretty much NSFW, but totally SF life.

Ooh, I knew which art you were linking to without even looking. Mmmph.

Have you see all of ... crap, what's her name? The one with the advent calendar! All of the Hogwarts crossovers she's been doing?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Rewatched The Rapture, and what I'm struck my (beyond my eternal awe over Jimmy beating his best friend to death) is how little affection passed between Jimmy and Amelia. Lots of love and kisses and hugs for Claire, but very very hands off for Amelia, even when he knows it's possibly the last time he'll see her again, and I wonder if that was a deliberate choice, or a "we don't give a fuck if it doesn't involve Sam or Dean, let's move it along". Because if the former, that strikes me as a marriage of convenience not borne out of love or affection, which makes me wonder about Jimmy and Amelia.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Julie, I know a number of conservatively religious couples who give that kind of vibe. From the (short) time I spent in a very conservative church, I recall a number of people who got married because marriage-and-kids was what you were supposed to do. If a couple was dating for more than a year and wasn't talking marriage, something was 'wrong.' So, I do think a number of couples got married because they found a partner who wasn't an obvious trainwreck, and they moved forward as expected.

Also, it was fairly obvious that in a lot of cases, the SEX IS DIRTY EVIL BAD message that kids raised in the church kept getting led to all kinds of repression and so on, even when a couple truly loved each other. And yes, I think a lot of people got married while in serious denial about their sexuality (because being gay is EXTRA DIRTY EVIL BAD).

In short, I think the hands-offness of the relationship fit very well with the kind of background they gave Jimmy.
