Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Also, I'm still reeling that Perkins read a spoiler. Perkins! I'm shocked.
It was by mistake! It was a video of JA, and I didn't know.
Perkins, it's like I no longer know who you are.
One of the thing I love about BB season (even though it occasionally leaves me wishing I could induce very specific amnesia), is seeing the sheer variety of what people come up with in terms of ideas. There are actually a few fics this year I may read even though they're in genres I would normally avoid like the plague.
I'm not reading as much this year as last. There's a sharp drop in D/C (for sure) and gen (it seems like). As for het, what's that?
The neverending J2 AU ideas, though--those continue to entertain. And there have been a few that made me wish I didn't have an RPF squick because they sounded interesting or comfortingly rom-commish.
I think Jolly Snidge actually wrote something that I refuse to read. And there's a JDM/Lee Pace movie that I do not want to watch.
What of hers are you avoiding?
The Resident AU where Dean is a crazy stalker landlord. The JDM movie looks horrific.
Dean's playing the JDM role?
What's the appeal of John/Dean if they're not related?
If the age difference is still there, I'd imagine it's still the father/son vibe, or at least a kind of "mentor emotionally drawn to naif" thing.
I should probably qualify that by saying the one John/Dean I read and enjoyed (and which made me sob) was one in which Dean has been orphaned young and placed in foster care, and John is a hunter he meets when he's hustling. The author never states it explicitly, but the takeaway is Dean is one of the children John placed in foster care after the fire, and Sam (I think) died as a baby .
