There's been an upswell of dubcon God!Cas fic in the past week or so--and I think, although dubcon isn't really a real world concept, their primary conceit that Dean would normally want to sleep with Castiel, or that he sees sleeping with him as a means to an important end, puts a bit of dub in it. "Oh, no, I'm going to die if I don't do this horrible thing I'd never ever want to do otherwise" is not dubious in the least.
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

It always amazes me how the concept of "words have meaning" is beyond some people.
If God!Cas wants to have sex with a willing Dean, is it still dub/non-con for Cas?
ita, Head for the Exits [link] by temporalranger. Dean's a cop, Cas a masked hero and the cute coffee shop guy that Dean has a crush on.
If God!Cas wants to have sex with a willing Dean, is it still dub/non-con for Cas?
I don't see why. Cas wants to and Dean is willing, so it's all good?
But is GodCas really Cas?

I've seen at least one interview where JA says part of the season will be trying to get Cas back and get him undeified.
I think he is. He's under an influence, but I think it's less dubious than a drunk person initiating sex. He's out of control, but he's Cas. It's not like Gary in Sam's body having sex.
I think it's a little more dubious than you do, but now I want to read fic about RealCas trying all the things that GodCas got to do with Dean.
Oh, Amy....
I'd say a bit different than a drunk someone initiating sex. Yes, there's the "drunk on alcohol/power" but until we know more, these are the souls of creatures who were by and large less moral than the average joe, vamps and werewolves and rugarus, etc.. It's more than just body chemistry being altered, there's the possibility that there's outside (or in this case, inside) influence on Castiel's actions.
I don't think that vamps and werewolves are less moral. Vamps are predators and werewolves and rugarus are mindless predators. But that's probably hairsplitting. I mean, your point that they have an influence isn't lessened by that.
However, in my head, he's drunk on power. He was doing really shitty things before he ate the souls. It's not like the switch flipped at the eclipse. He killed Rachel and Balthazar before he ate anything.
