I like both her styles of stuff, but I've seen people bitching that she's punking fandom by being two people. They don't know much about artists.
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
How is she punking them within the same journal?!
There's the serious stuff, and then there's the play. I get that. and the play is fun. There's no rule that says that because you can do something well that you have to do it at that level all the time. And I respect the play stuff more because I know there's a slant of talent not being tapped, but the play has a different kind of talent behind it. Especially the sense of fun and succinct humour and dealing with panels and punchlines.
tiggy, here's a link to the Jared/Zach Q&A: [link]
Here's Jared's Nerd HQ session (HQ even) in one piece.
This Nerd HG interview is adorable. I thought I'd watch a couple of minutes but I am almost all of the way through and totally laughing at the amusement factor that JP brings.
If you want D/C S/G HS AU with epic whumpage, check out princess-aleera's BB entry. Stayed up a bit late reading that one.
Not sure what I thought about that. Yes, lots of whump and pain, but Dean wasn't Dean enough for me, the fragility ramped up a bit too much. Although I liked how it created the manwhore personality. And Gabriel didn't annoy me because he was a completely different character.
But, yes, I also stayed up late to finish it.
I'm never going to ask for Gabriel to be in character in a S/G fic, because that way lies no S/G for me.
I did like what she did with Dean. It was more extreme than what we see of him in canon, but an acceptable diversion, considering the huge difference she made with John.
And I thought the brotherly love was massive and beautiful. I don't even mind that they compressed the age difference, which usually bothers me.
I have to agree with you on needing Gabriel not being Gabriel in order to handle S/G.
The age difference, wasn't it 15 and 17? A year short.
I guess that was in order to make S/G palatable, and to keep them in the same school. They're normally four school years apart, right?
