I'm a little surprised they didn't even mention the eye candy bonus of the two stars, to be honest.
We seem to be watching True Blood lately, even though we've never seen an episode before now, and I didn't read the books. I can put bits and pieces together from things I've overheard, but mostly we just watch with our mouths open, frowning. It's very surreal that way.
I watch TB because I'm curious about all the fuss, and I still don't know what it's about.
Honestly I think it's more or less Twilight with much better actors and bare asses.
As long as they're supposed to be acting annoying, sure. But the view is pretty hot.
From an old fic I'm re-reading:
After he blinks his quite obviously brown eyes a few times, Sam shakes out the words, “They’re here,”
Bzzt! Thanks for playing. Thanks for calling attention to it, even.
Also, by late 2009, the boys had never seen red-eyed demons? Hadn't we? Was it all behind their backs?
Okay--someone calls her on that in the comments, but not Sam's eyes.
Dude, even I know that. How can you not notice their eyes?
The "quite obviously" part makes it sound like the author is trying to make a point -- like they're clearly brown to her, and anyone who can't see that is a moron.
But they're not.
The only red-eyed demons were the crossroads demons, right? So they would have seen one in S2. Dean, anyway.
On the Wings of War by alchemyalice. Not short.
Is it finished?
ah, just went back to the masterpost with the final wordcount. Prologue header isn't updated. Still says "really long wip".
I am a bad fandom citizen. First I leave a cryptic comment on someone's fic (you know, the sort that's all "this isn't my thing, but I read it anyway") like a n00b, and then I asked another writer (Jollysnidge) when she was updating again.
But I think I was funny! At least her response was in line with my message, and light-hearted.
Plus she updated, so you know, win-win.
Back to the Buffy/SPN fusion that's fuelling my insomnia.
