The "quite obviously" part makes it sound like the author is trying to make a point -- like they're clearly brown to her, and anyone who can't see that is a moron.

But they're not.

The only red-eyed demons were the crossroads demons, right? So they would have seen one in S2. Dean, anyway.

I am a bad fandom citizen. First I leave a cryptic comment on someone's fic (you know, the sort that's all "this isn't my thing, but I read it anyway") like a n00b, and then I asked another writer (Jollysnidge) when she was updating again.

But I think I was funny! At least her response was in line with my message, and light-hearted.

Plus she updated, so you know, win-win.

I am filled with roiling feelings of inadequacy. Also, I stan her so hard. She was great help to me for *my* BB. Even did some hands on editing of one of the pictures.
