I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I skimmed the D/C Angels and Insects J2BB, and, wow, does the warning make sense now. It's insanely hung up on inane details and poetry, and in the end, sucks like horror movies suck with the sucky ending where the evil just continues. And Castiel isn't even Castiel for 99.99% of it, if that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Castiel is totally Castiel. He's just not Jimmy Novak.

I liked the story, myself, although it didn't deliver what I went in for. I thought the ending was insanely creepy, and begged for more (and happier, because, shit...).

Though I didn't pay attention to the poetry, and was relieved (no big spoiler here) when it didn't really turn out to mean anything.

I skimmed, so I just had Fiona Apple/Cristina Ricci spouting poetry in my brain, and couldn't connect the two. Even though I knew they must be the one and the same. Vessel doesn't matter, blah blah.

What did you go in for?

Also, the title had me in a Julian Sands incest place, so I don't know what I was expecting. And then there was that whole The Last Unicorn scene, and I got sort of excited, and then, creeptastic horror.

Hot D/C loving, really. Also, I tend to be vesselphilic.

But it's a horror casefile with minimal romance.

And then there was that whole The Last Unicorn scene, and I got sort of excited

Which scene was that?

heh.

When Dean breaks the cages open, the harpy first, and frees all the magical/supernatural creatures. Very very Mommy Fortuna and Schmedrick freeing the creatures from her carnival and the harpy killing Mommy Fortuna.

Because books.

I once wrote a bandom fic where most of them were penguins.

I am honestly curious about your inspiration for this. Did you just one day wake up and think, "penguins, that's the ticket!"?

Amy - Jul 18, 2011 3:22:45 pm PDT #20615 of 30002
Because books.

It was the news story about the two male penguins adopting an egg. PERFECT for bandom. I don't think it's still linked anywhere, though.

I've read that D/C, I realise. I mean, them being penguins and adopting an egg. Dear lord.

Why is your fic cyan on white? How can that be a remotely good idea?
