Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd rank my RPF squick as one of the biggest ones out there, but I had no problem with it myself. It's not an alternate reality I want to watch every Friday, but there are worlds without shrimp and then there's this.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I wonder who wrote the "worlds without shrimp" line and if they'd ever watched the double feature of Repo Man and Liquid Sky.

But I digress. I love shows with alternate realities but I think it bugs me when those realities are too close to RL. But no, I'm full of shit because two of my favorite moments reading two of my favorite books involved finding out that book RL and my RL are not the same.

Yeah. I cannot defend my stance.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

As otters living on a wildlife preserve, Jared and Jensen enjoy . . .

Sometimes reading story summaries breaks me.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Please tell me that one has art. Who doesn't love otters?

It's ridiculously cute

Otters!

Thank you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I read summaries for fic I know I'm not going to read, because I know human ingenuity knows no bounds. And then sometimes I end up reading rabbit MPREG D/C, and it's clear my palate does have strict boundaries.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I skimmed the D/C Angels and Insects J2BB, and, wow, does the warning make sense now. It's insanely hung up on inane details and poetry, and in the end, sucks like horror movies suck with the sucky ending where the evil just continues. And Castiel isn't even Castiel for 99.99% of it, if that.

Castiel is totally Castiel. He's just not Jimmy Novak.

I liked the story, myself, although it didn't deliver what I went in for. I thought the ending was insanely creepy, and begged for more (and happier, because, shit...).

Though I didn't pay attention to the poetry, and was relieved (no big spoiler here) when it didn't really turn out to mean anything.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I skimmed, so I just had Fiona Apple/Cristina Ricci spouting poetry in my brain, and couldn't connect the two. Even though I knew they must be the one and the same. Vessel doesn't matter, blah blah.

What did you go in for?

Also, the title had me in a Julian Sands incest place, so I don't know what I was expecting. And then there was that whole The Last Unicorn scene, and I got sort of excited, and then, creeptastic horror.
