I am the fly who dreams of the spider

jollysnidge is fantastic about finishing wips, they're all different, and there's lots of interesting pathos going on, and I never know if I'm going to get fluff or angst or dark!fic (I can't recall if there is any of the latter, although the Dean-is-a-janitor fic has Cas in an End!verse place).

I'm confused about Sam as well. Unless he went to gay camp before Dean did, because maybe Sam came out of the closet at a young age while Dean was still clinging to his heterosexuality?

I dunno. I suppose we'll find out once Dean gets to the party.

Which one is where Sam comes home with Cas?

Don't rush, I'm reading up on liztomania and dizbil to get your horrid link out of my brain.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Other authors have done it, but Jollysnidge's Haaaaaaaaave You Met Dean? does it. Very sadly. There's no good way out of it. Though I trust those two crazy kids to end up together in the end.

I'd love to see A River Runs Through It adapted D/C. It's kind of my gold standard for "oops" I like your brother more, but "While You Were Sleeping" is a good comedic place for that, and I'm surprised I haven't seen it more. Though you do need to demonise Sam a bit. Maybe he could fall for Adam? Or just not make him as much of a materialistic prick--just too corporate driven for Castiel and his earthy ways.

I have a sudden urge to draw Dean with women. Yet! Not finished Big Bang, and less than a week to go.

I'm looking though my work and seeing what gets the most response.

Definitely Castiel. Which is a shame, because I was thinking of Dean/Cassie next. I suspect no one care, no matter what level of quality I put out. It's D/C for the people watching me.

If you're reading dizbil, you deserve ever aneurysm you get.

Hey! Dizbil is fine art compared to your evil link of evil.

Oh yes, the Dan in Real Life fusion. I like how Sam manages to not be the Dane Cook douche and the story still works.

I'm remembering the other Sam/Cas story, where he is a douche (in the vein of Sam sneaking around with Ruby behind Dean's back in season 4). That one I found intriguing, but seems to be a lost WIP, damnit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I read some updates to one kinda like that recently. Except Sam was hanging out with Jess, and had intentions to get a scholarship to go to law school with her, and hadn't told Cas yet. He hadn't physically cheated, but there was some emotional wandering and concealment. Still WIP, but Dean has been a comfort.

And then one completed story where Cas is reeling after a bad breakup with Sam and Dean helps him out of the funk and never quite goes away, and it turns out that...well, you'll have to read it. I don't remember if Cas tasted like anything in particular in that.

I think I read that one. There's a scene where Sam sees Cas and Dean out the window in an intimate moment, and realizes he has to leave Cas?

The one I'm thinking of is by someone sounding like ryanblackthorne.

Yeah, and Dean is drunk and doesn't remember it for forever. I liked that one.

I had something tracked by ryanblackthorn, but LJ is being a bitch and I can't tell you what it is. And neither of those LJ names is correct.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Quick picture question: If one of D or C is naked and one is fully clothed: votes: which is which

Well, if we're talking about something close to canon I think clothed C/naked D is far more likely to happen since D actually sleeps, bathes, etc.

My vote would be for the opposite though, since I can see C not actually having a nudity taboo or being rendered in any way vulnerable by the lack of clothing.

Yeah, that's the one I think I'm thinking about with Sam being shifty with Jess, not Ruby.

Yeah, I knew it was a canon woman, was just likening it to Sam's canon douchiness with Ruby wrt Dean. Except with extra douchiness. But I flove all the understatedness and the inbetween-the-lines-ness of it.

On the flipside of Cas not having a problem with nudity is the little nugget stuck in my brain from fic: that Cas heals his clothing like his body, that the clothes are as a part of the vessel as Jimmy's skin and hair, so doing without is weird.

And I love the idea of Dean, once on board with him and Cas, being king of being comfortable with his body and his sexuality. And if he's not on board, then being cocky about it to hide his insecurities, jumping all in with a smirk.
