I called the wife getting demonized, but not the little girl being angelized.

I was kind of WTF at Sam knifing the possessed woman (after he'd fed on her) since they had an angel right there to free her from her possession. Sam pretty much murdered that woman, and I bet he didn't even realize it.

I was completely unprepared for Dean & Bobby teaming up on Sam. Somehow I feel this is not going to be a very effective intervention. For one thing, they didn't use any "I" statements, and I don't think they have a very good plan.

I begin to wonder what happens to the blood Sam's on. Like, does it lose its magical power? It's magic, after all. And is the blood itself making Sam be all cold and desperate, or is that just Sam's addiction to it?

That was... 418? 419? And that preview looked kind of awesome and horrifying. Which makes me suspect we won't get any reconciliation before next season. In fact, I think next season will be the season of reconciliation.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I was completely unprepared for Dean & Bobby teaming up on Sam.

I think I blinked at the screen a few times.

I know it's a minority opinion, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Misha Collins is a good actor.

I thought he did quite well, as well.

(I will admit, I thought he was good before, but I also thought that, hey, if you've got a voice like that, you can make everything sound portentous and awesome. When I heard him as Jimmy, I was blown away by how different he sounded.)

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I knew the wife was possessed from the time they were getting in the car and saying, "where's Jimmy's wife?"

When I heard him as Jimmy, I was blown away by how different he sounded.

This. O Emm Gee. When the family was sitting at the table the first time saying grace, my jaw was on the floor. Then when he changed back to Castiel, he was all Keanu Reeves like again. Awesome!!

Totally did not anticipate Dean and Bobby pulling a Connor. I knew there was something weird when Sam was going through the door, but at that point, I thought Bobby was possessed and going to lock both boys in the safe room. How heartbreaking that Dean was in on it. Oh SHOW. I'm just so "where do we go from here".

Oops. It's hailing outside so I'm going to stop talking about angels.

Art Crawl!!!

Did you guys think that the "soon" meant that what they showed in the promo were from the next two episodes - not just next week?

I think that the "intervention" is not so much an intervention but more a way to make Sam go cold turkey.

Yep.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Dudes, did you not watch Misha on 24, or CSI, or NCIS, or Nip/Tuck? Or any of the other shows he's been on? He's a very facile actor. Castiel is just a cauldron of restraint, and Mish does well at implying all the stuff going on beneath the glacial countenance.

sumi, definitely.

As to the ending, I thought the protected panic room was a test. Ruby couldn't enter it, so I thought they were testing to see if Sam could. Of course, Bobby could have reversed the protections, I suppose: demons can go in but they don't walk out--Bobby's roach motel for demons.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I think that the "intervention" is not so much an intervention but more a way to make Sam go cold turkey.

I would think that Sam wouldn't be happy about being reliant on demon blood, but I also think that he believes his jedi powers are his strongest weapon right now. He lost Jess, lost his father, (never really knew Mary), and went through months of hell having lost Dean via the Trickster, spent a year frantically trying and then failing to save Dean from his deal, and then spent more months unsuccessfully trying to rescue Dean. These powers are the first truly strong weapon he's had to fight back, and he's worked to develop them. He (I think) sees them as coming from a wrong place, but he thinks he can use them for good. I don't really think he's going to walk out of Bobby's deeeemonic panic room and thank them for weakening him.

I also would like to think Sam has some abilities that are inherent, rather than a byproduct of Ruby and her machinations, but that's probably wishful thinking on my part.
