While I have a few OTPs and DoNotWantPs in various fandoms, I just don't

the kind of rabidity that some shippers exhibit.
With SPN, while I've been intrigued enough by certain pairings (het and slash) to read or write them, shipping and fics are something I enjoy in addition to the show. It's like a tasty side dish, but it's hardly the point of the meal for me.
From some of the rants, it almost sounds like people are watching the show making little tick marks for every D/C moment vs. every D/S moment, in a way that's more than a little reminiscent of Heathcliff keeping track of how much time Cathy spent with Edgar vs. how much time she spent with him.

I'm chafing already at no ep next week, but Smallville will have

so I may watch that finale for old time's sake. It's been forever since I liked that show.
I'm kinda sad we're not getting a proper two hour event (like AHBL would have been, except why not kill us with a cliffhanger), but two eps in one night is wicked cool, even if it's the end for now.
