Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

Because books.

You could CALL ME ON THE PHONE.

Mwah ha ha.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My brain gets so hung up on the premise

Because the premise is perfect, naturally.

I'm surprised at how many people are still invested in asexual¹ angels. I can see how it might be interesting to explore, but the canon ship has definitely sailed there.

¹: Not that I have a clear handle on all the ramifications of the term, since it does seem to allow for more sexual activity than I'd have thought.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Gabriel and Balthazar certainly seemed onboard with the R-rated action, and neither had the excuse of falling like Cas and Anna did.

Tangent: early on it seemed as if angels might not have innate gender apart from that of their vessels, but the archangels have exclusively referred to one another with masculine pronouns and terms. (It'd be interesting if Castiel used "she" and "sister" regarding Raphael now that the vessel is a woman.)

I hope we find out soon.

Apparently Edlund just likened Dean/Cas to a long distance marriage. They know what they're doing--why do they rile folks up like that? There should be shame.

Honestly, in the last few weeks they've gone far beyond what I ever expected to see in canon in that direction. Third parties in the story are acting like they see something going on now, and not just in a joking sense.

Sam telling Dean he hurt Cas's feelings was the BEST.

There should be shame.

I'm pretty sure it's evil cackling and egging each other on instead.

Now that Sam has a soul, he digs the profundity.

It's all Greek to me, but Team Free Will as My Chemical Romance? Might align with the interests of some people here.

Sylvia Bond (pinkraygun) is arguing Biblical sexless angels. Oh, honey, no. Like what you like, but you can't deny the Nephilim.

Maybe they were test tube hybrid abominations?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Honestly, in the last few weeks they've gone far beyond what I ever expected to see in canon in that direction.

for sure. And every week it's a little more blatant. Sometimes I wonder & I'm not sure if it's fearfully or hopefully.

Gamblefied promo for this week.

Ah, interesting directing choices there, Edlund. This could go either way.

But whichever way, Castiel needs a hug. I foresee much fic being written this weekend--fixit or celebratory (probably fixit) unless they manage to stun Casfandom into silence.
