When... did Ellen have blonde hair? Samantha Ferris has been some variety of brunette in everything I recall ever seeing her in.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I wouldn't ever call her blonde, but, dirty blonde, yes: [link]

as opposed to the dark brown this last ep: [link]

Whatever colour you want to call it, it wasn't this latest incarnation. Which is fine, Ellen can dye her hair, get back to her roots. People do this. Her roots were darker. But in show, she had blondish hair.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Huh. That just looks like some highlights. I think of Ellen as having dark hair. I have no idea what she was in the majority of her episodes, but I thought it was dark. Anything along the brown or red spectrum, I would just chalk up to trying a different color.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That some of what they showed at Paley--the dramatic stuff. There was also some of a much lighter tone. I've seen people complaining it's going to be a cracky episode, but wasn't last week's supposed to be cracky too?

Perhaps everything seems solemn in comparison after seeing Misha play himself narrating a frownyface Twitter post sparked by the realization that someone is lurking in his back seat.

Even that episode, while highly hilarious, wasn't all crack from beginning to end.
